According to IGN, Ubisoft has leaked what looks like to be the final Wii U box configuration.



Not sure if I like the Blue GameCube style.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the GameCube, but the design seems like a step backwards.

I agree with Lumberjack, this blue is a bit too "electric" for my tastes.

I don't like how Nintendo so often uses a big, dumb rounded intrusion into the cover art.  Plus, the yellow stripe is extra super lame.

the blue is about the only thing that doesn't really bug me too much.

From a buyer's perspective I'm not sure if I like the rounded top banner. It is very gamecube esque but I definitely think its better than the wii covers.

From a retailer's perspective THANK GOD it looks so different than the original wii. That will avoid so many headaches communicating which system is which. I still wish they just used a different name altogether. I understand why they didnt (huge install base of familiarity $$$).

I'm just glad that they didn't use cases the same color as the launch console. The fact that all Wii games came in white cases completely threw off any uniformity if you had them sitting next to a black Wii.

I'm glad that they didn't go the stupid GameCube route and pull a fast one by putting the system on the bottom of the spine.  That makes it look so dumb compared to like EVERY OTHER GAME.

Stupid? You got problems, man. Gamecube games are unique for doing what they did, because it distinguishes them from their competitors. Like how Nintendo Selects (Wii), Greatest Hits (PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3), and Player's Choice (GBA, and Gamecube) distinguish them from the rest of their games that don't have those labels.

I'll give you that point: the way GH game covers look for Sony's platforms is terrible. Green stripes? Red Stripes? that's a no-no in my book.
