Precisely. There is nothing "slim" or "lite" or "baby" about it. It's just a cheap, neutered Wii (double entendre intended)

Well then are you saying the newer PS3 is no smaller than the PS3 that could play PS2 games?

--- End quote ---
Sony neutered the PS3 before they released the slim, so that isn't even a valid point

No it is important to me because I waited for the "slim" PS3...  Are they the same size or not?  If they are I want to go ebay shopping for an older one!

What Forte is saying is that Sony removed ps2 compatibility long before the slim version of the ps3 came out.  Only launch ps3's and maybe some models around the launch time frame had backwards compatibility.

But at the very least, Sony did make the slim version smaller and they also decided to go against the shiny plastic casing.

But let me know if you got my pm...I think i sent it fine, just not seeing it in my outbox.

I got your PM - I am no longer interested in the Baby Wii as it is not a Baby after all  :(

That's what I was trying to say. Sony made a Slim PS3 that was smaller, same with the Xbox 360 redesign and the DS to DS lite, they were made smaller without losing functionality. The "baby" Wii isn't smaller, it just lacks GameCube functionality, thus not making it a smaller console, just a neutered one.

And thus it is worthless and Nintendo should be ashamed of themselves since they still sell games like Mario Kart Wii which show you can use the GameCube controller.  Makes me sick!
