The part of my post that you didn't quote did in fact say it wasnt a threat - I don't think any real member has ever been banned from here.  I have no problem with opinion which I also stated,  I have a problem with you spamming the boards with your 'opinion' that other members are stupid for buying things at market value, or are tryIng to rip people off by offering items for sale at market value.

Forte asked you multiple times to stop posting your opinion of his prices in his thread, yet you carried on, obviously trying to annoy him,  and now you are doing the same here.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, yes even you, and to some degree I agree that I wouldn't ever pay some of the prices that games go for, but if I have no intention of buying from someone's thread, I don't post on it.

Why not start your own thread on what you see as games which have become overpriced?

This is a close knit non-confrontational community with a shared passion for games, if this is what you want to be part of, then just play nice,  if not,  you know where the door is - please shut it on the way out.

Oh, and what you are misconceiving as anger and hate, is in fact exasperation.

I am also not 'upset' by your comments, I am upset by war, animal cruelty and poverty amongst other things, but certainly not by comments about a fucking video game.

Just because something is priced as "normal" or "acceptable", that doesn't make it right. I think anyone paying more for a single game than an entire system is making a foolish choice.

I honestly must've missed that. I know others were irritated with me there, but I don't recall any requests from him personally. If that's the case, I apologize.

I asked Forte at least once if he sold cart-only copies, but when i saw the prices were still high, I asked a few questions.

Good idea, but it'd be a fairly long list.

What's so inherently wrong or evil about respectful confrontation?

This is why we can't have nice things....
You two should start your own thread so I can actually get to reading this one  :P

Although I do have to say, reading a thread where multiple people argue about the moral obligations of video game cartridge prices is probably one of the most hilarious things I've seen lately. There's no right or wrong in any sort of collector's market because right and wrong are decided by each individual buyer. If some dude came up to me in the video game store and started to tell me I shouldn't buy a game because he thought it was overpriced I'd probably just stare back blankly with my head tilted slightly to the left and then walk to the register without saying a word.  ;D

Aaaaand now to get this thread back on track and actually contribute. My most prized video game would be my Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time gold cart. It's not the most valuable game or system that I own (not even close), but it's my most prized personally.

I know this isn't too exciting for the hard core collectors around here, but ever since I had the game back when it came out I always wanted to find a gold cart and beat the game on it. I overpaid by a bit, but just because this one was near mint - I knew it was "my cart" when I saw the auction. ;) Ended up being just under $40 with shipping, so still not too bad. I then used the Nayru's Love glitch outside of the Fire Temple to crash the game, get to the debug menu, and then verify that the cart was 1.0 (The vast majority of gold carts are, but I wanted to be sure  :D).

I originally wanted to find a CIB version, but the problem with those bundles is that either the cart or box is usually in crap shape. So, since the game itself is way more important to me I decided to spring for a mint cart, and wait for a good condition box whenever it rolls around.
