I'm sort of a cheap bastard, and I hunt for deals like its my job, so I prolly won't pay that much for a game again for a while.

Since when is $90 considered cheap for anything? I think one of my best deals was probably getting "Tiny Toon Adventures" for $3.

When it's a game you really REALLY want and you cannot find it anywhere, that's the price to pay.  He did state that he will probably never pay that much for a game again for a while.  You never finished reading his statement.

It's not like we are spending $100 on every single game we own.  Some cost more and I am proud to be one of the 2500 people who own a Donkey Kong Country Competition Cart!

I read his statement all the way through, but the fact that anyone would pay such a price for a video game is absurd to me. I think the most expensive retro games I own are "Super Metroid", and "Ocarina of Time", each being $20.

Those games all came out 10 or so years ago. I figured one could surmise that I've since become far more miserly and not that I've always been so.

Also, 100 for Chrono Trigger and Hang Time?!  I don't recall ether being that pricey. I think I paid 70 for Chrono Trigger and I can't think of a single game that was more than 70 bucks for the N64 at release and I was workin game retail during the entire lifespan of the N64.

Maybe he's out of states? (wouldn't Canadian games be more expensive..well...looking anyway) or he paid shipping and a big tax? I know some of the Square games were pretty pricey on SNES
