So I began working on plans to make a few arcade cabinets for different consoles.
What I was wondering: Is it possible to replace the screens of handhelds with bigger screens? Such as making a say 18-20 in touch screen in the control deck to make a full sized DS arcade?

Quess it would be technically possible, but it would most likely take lot of custom programming, unless of course you do it PC route as in emulator.

But if you manage to do that I'll buy one probably.

It's probably technically possible, but the technicals are way beyond me.  I'd start with trying to find a pinout for the DS's screens.

How does a Virtual Boy Arcade sound?

How are you gonna implement the 3D?
And in what color?

For color I'd like shades of gray instead of red.

50 shades?

Yea, I have had plans for a computer based Arcade machine, I would like to see how people mount the components, like the Mobo and HDD. I was thinking about doing it right to the case, and forgoing a tower.

The main reason is i feel the virtual boy has a horific stand. So the actual VB will be mounted in it with adjustable height. And the cart would have a feed off to be pluged in the side. It will still use the VB Hardware

like others have said it may take some work but...

http://home.comcast.net/~olimar/DS/jumbotron/

there's even a couple of youtube vids

also dont forget my effort!

http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=10478.0

would be pretty easy to mount in a cab, i did use real arcade parts for the stick after all!

also you can get a gamegear to output to a tv....

...and im working on something else, but thats waaaaay into the future....
