Yep our set-ups seem to be the same.

I just suggest 3 way audio switch, you use the 2 A/B selectors.

Then the connections would be:

Unit A (the Composite consoles: SMS2, 32-X & NES2) Yellow blug to DVD0 EDGE's composite input. Audio to 3 way audio selector
Unit B (the S-video Consloes: SNES2, Dreamcast, N64, PS1 & Saturn) S-video plug to DVD0 EDGE's S-video input.  Audio to 3 way audio selector
Unit C (the Component consoles: PS2, NGC & WII) to DVD0 EDGE's Component input.  Audio to 3 way audio selector

And finally  Audio to 3 way audio selector to DVD0 EDGE's Audio input.
Or you can still use the 2 A/B switches for the Audio, just connecting the Videos directly to DVD0 EDGE.

EDIT: fixed typo.

A 3 way audio switch (A/B/C) would eliminate having to have 2 "A/B" switches so in that aspect yes that would be abit easier having audio on one switch instead of 2. The video never reaches the (A/B/C) Switch or this case the 2 A/B switches and goes directly into the DVD0 EDGE's inputs which is the way to go.

Your plan is right Arseen, you just named the selectors where's I named them by video source.  :P

Also if your wondering you can have Stereo L/R (White/Red) and the TOSLINK (Optical) Audio hooked up to the PS2 at the same time. The TOSLINK connector on the back of the PS2 will give you the best sound possible out of the PS2 but again it's just an option.

This would do the trick, right?  I could just use 3 of the ports on this for audio IN and send a pair of audio cables OUT to the EDGE...?

Overkill as compared to what?  I'm not buying outside of the US because I'm redoing my entertainment center this week, cannot wait 2-3 weeks for delivery.  I want to know what is overkill about this?  It's kind of small, that's why I want it.

You buy thing that has 4 audio pairs + 4 Composites + 4 s-videos in and 2 audio pairs + 2 Composites + 2 s-videos out.

Yep bit over kill.

I'm not saying that is bad choice just that it's bit over kill. :D

You might find the box you need from pretty much any store that sells TVs.

Of course you can order the 3 way box from ebay and while waiiting it use the 2 A/B selectors.
You can easily replace the A/B selectors  with the 3 way switch when it arrives.

No I cannot easily switch after waiting...  You have no clue what my set up looks like my friend.  If you could find me something better on ebay I would appreciate it; but I do not see anything that is audio only; everything has video as well.

Dear lord that's a huge mess o' switches!

Personally, I'd pony up a couple hundred bucks at this point to get something nice if you insist on keeping all of these systems hooked up at once.

Why do you need a switch that's audio only?  Just use an A/V switch and simply do not employ the video I/O.

Something nice like what?  I need all these switches I guess -- I have 13 consoles going into my DVDO EDGE.  I need A/V selectors.

Well I'll bite on this.

So here is my setup.

SNES / PS2 / N64 / Genesis --> 4in1 Video Composite Switcher --> TV

This composite switcher has S-Video hookups, however I do not think that this will do any good... seeing that my TV does not have S-Video input.  Solution:

SNES / PS2 / N64 / Genesis --> 4in1 Video Component Switcher --> TV

My question: if I use a regular COMPOSITE CABLE on the new COMPONENT SWITCHER and disregard colors and connect it to my television... would that work?  Too lazy to test, and too annoyed on spending another $10 on a cable I might not need

Doesn't matter. Coax is coax. It's all analogue signal, use whatever RCA cables you like.


Mariocase, do you think you can live with only having 12 systems hooked up at once?  If so, I have a solution that would mean 2 switch boxes only.

Would be interested in hearing that solution - i'm looking to have 12-15 hooked up in my office/games room.

Unfortunately the Intellivision and Coleco are going to have to remain as Coax - unless anyone knows differently?
