Anyone going to PRGE?
Seymor Onion:
I was hoping to attend the Portland Retro Gaming Expo this year, but I'm not going to be able to make it.
Even if I did attend this year's expo, all I'd have to show for myself would be the HuCard Sleeves.
Cool as they are, I don't think they'd warrant using up most of the Sky Miles I've earned on one of my Credit Cards.
I should be able to get a Booth at next year's PRGE, and be able to at least show off some prototypes of my Game Cases.
Or better yet, have a few Product Runs behind me by then, and be able to bring more than just the prototypes...
For those of ya who don't know; I live in Texas; Oregon is quite far away from me.
Edited To Add: There might be someone there with some of my HuCard sleeves, spreading the word.
I haven't worked out all of the details with him yet.

I'm probably not going, at least, not this year. I'm working on getting a few other wallet-killers together right now (new tower speakers for my stereo, a copy of Shadowrun for the SNES, etc) but it's something I'll probably look into next year!
As an aside, my folks live in Louisville, KY, and last year, they had an arcade expo. My dad works on / rebuilds pinball machines in his spare time, so he went to it, and had a blast! He's trying to get me to come to the next one, but I don't know if I'll make that, either.
Above all else, I'm just glad that these expos exist! Older games are about all that I play, so to have a few expos up-and-running that celebrate vintage gaming make me feel like a proud poppa :-)
