What the article describes as 'clots' will have been DVT, deep vein thrombosis. Small locaised clots which you can get by (for example) sitting in the same position for too long. The problem arises when you subsequently get up and move, and the clots get freed and move around the body. Same reason yOu should always try to move around on a long flight. |
