Would this style of Tray be best?

It looks like it is designed to support some kind of small plastic clamshell for the GBA Cart.

EDITED TO ADD:
As I sit here, staring at the above photo, it occurred to me that it could be improved.
The alteration would only require a few small cuts to be made, to two of the Inner Corners, so they can be Pushed Down.
The added height would allow support for GB and GBC Games.
The buyer could just leave the corners in the up position, so their GBA Games won't wiggle around as much.

It already looks to be wide enough to support GB, GBC and GBA Games in plastic clamshells, but I'm not sure about the Debth.
I got this photo off some random guy's ebay listing.

Considering a GB/GBC/GBA box is more than thick enough to fit a GB game inside WITH the plastic clamshell, I think that insert would be more than deep enough to squeeze em in ;)

There's still a bit of space around that GBA cart; I'd suggest measuring everything involved, to make sure it all fits snugly and doesn't break. Ideally, if you had a spare one, you could take it apart, measure all the dimensions for the folds and such, and use that info to make replicas from scratch.

Bold Mine.
That's a great idea!
I'm going to head on over to a local used vintage games shop, and pick up a cheap GBA Game w/ the cardboard tray.
I'll pull apart the glued parts (very carefully) and use it to trace it's pattern onto the posterboards that I bought, yesterday.

Keep Em Minty has SNES, Gameboy, and N64 inserts pre-made.  I bought some SNES and Gameboy ones off him, really nice and sturdy.

SNES: http://videogameboxprotectors.com/products/nintendo/snes-cardboard-insert-tray/

N64: http://videogameboxprotectors.com/products/nintendo/n64-cardboard-insert/

Gameboy: http://videogameboxprotectors.com/products/nintendo/gameboy-cardboard-insert-tray/

No GBA though.
I can also vouch for his SNES Cardboard Inserts.
I ordered one of em last week, and sure enough, it was of excellent quality.
His prices are very nice, too.  8)

I just got back from the game shop.
I purchased a star wars GBA Game, just for the tray.
It's not like the one in the above picture; it has an indent up top that's a snug fit for the GBA Cart.
I'll post some pictures of it, and my attempts at hand crafting duplicates, after I eat some chili dogs (lunch).  ;D

Here are photos of the OEM GBA Cardboard Insert Tray Box:

This next image, of the OEM GBA Cardboard Insert Tray Box, was taken using my Flatbed Scanner:

You can download the Big Version by [CLICKING HERE] RAR'd JPEG, 600 dpi, 13.4 MB
You may need to manually change it's dpi to 600, after opening it.

I'd make a nice line-art pattern for you all to download, but that's a bit beyond my skill set.
I'll post some pictures of my handmade duplicates, as soon as I finish making some. XD

Here's my progress, so far:

After tracing the outlines to Posterboard, I cut all of the outside lines,
then I scored the places where the poster must bend,
then I carefully bended them a bit.

Before I continue working on the prototype, I need to run by the Warehouse, and pick up my Exacto Knife Kit.
I had a feeling I forgot to do something, when I made the run out to the VG Store this morning... ::)

Success!

One down, Ninety Nine to go...  ;D

I'm going to experiment with my methods, and try to find a way to make these more easily, by hand.
Once I perfect my skills at this, and assuming I can make at least 100 without my arm falling off, I'll start selling em.

I've made 3 so far.
It takes me about 45 minutes per box...  :'(

Mick Dundee needs 3, and
larryinc64 needs 3

I'm gonna hit the sack in a few minutes.
I'll make at least three more when I get up.

I'm thinking about just making these by request.
I have enough materials on hand to make 18 total.

I'm going to make a lot of phone calls on Monday, and see if there are any affordable ways to get the pattern printed out on 100 or so sheets of A4 Cardstock, by a local printing company.
That shouldn't be too expensive; I can do the cutting and gluing parts myself, so I won't have to spend hundreds of dollars on tooling.
Maybe they can also do some of the perforating.

Well, guys... It happened.
Just as I was tracing the pattern for the Sixth GBA Tray, my arm fell off.  :o
It took me most of the day to reattach it.

I'll finish the Sixth Tray tomorrow, before I start calling around to some paper and box makers.

In the meantime, Mick, if you PM or E-Mail me your address, I'll send you three of my homemade GBA Trays, free of charge.
Larry, I'll send ya the other three, free of charge.  ;)
