Thy were?!  Who sells 'em?

I love MM8.  I know it was a serious departure from all that came before, in terms of graphics, but I would have loved for the series to just continued on in that style for a while.  Don't get me wrong, I love the 8bit-ness of 9 and 10, but I feel that both styles could exist at the same time personally.  I think it would have been really cool to have disc releases of both 9 and 10 in the MM8 style, with a free DL code for both games in the 8bit style.

No they did not!  Anything you see is an illegal copy if anything.

I think he meant to say "weren't".

It would have been nice if they were, as it's certainly possible give that both games are made with all of the NES's limitations in mind from sprite size to even the tile and sprite color limitations that adhere to the NES's color pallet. With Famitracker, even the music from the games can be ported to the NES directly.

The colossal job however would be to  port the C++ code of both games to 6502 assembly, although given the complexity of some Rockman 4 rom hacks, it might be fully possible to use much of the code from Megaman 4 or Megaman 6 (tied for being the biggest of the NES games in terms of ROM storage) to construct TRUE NES builds of Megaman 9 and 10.

Sadly I don't think it'll ever happen unless Capcom totally looks the other way. Still, they seem to be okay with Rokko-chan and even Rockman 7 FC and 8 FC.....so maybe someday a rom hacker will bring Megaman 9 and 10 to the Famicom and then it'll be possible to buy reproduction carts. I really, really hope so.

Just saying, but it would be nice to get some replies to the post I made a few days ago. I'd love to hear others thoughts on individual entries in the series or opinions on what I said.
