Actually bit tempted to pay the asked price if I had that money.

Million for that collection isn't that unreasonable.

Apparently he's a famous French collector who has close ties to people in the industry.

He just puts his entire collection up on ebay every now and then as an advert for his ebay store.
I guess he assumes no one would ever actually buy it.

If yjere just would be way to unseal them...

Well, opening most games would devalue them by a lot.

True games are for playing, and I will happily agree with you. but as a collector if I had unopened copies I would either sell it to someone for the collector price or keep it and buy another copy to play.
But in this case of this ebay listing, I wouldn't buy that lot even if they were all NTSC format. The joy for me is actually finding them on my own unless it's a game I really want to play.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

I'm not doing the math, but I'm willing to bet that stuff isn't worth nearly ~1.2 million, even if it were split up into individual sales. Awesome collection, no doubt, but obviously an advertising trick. He wouldn't part with that stuff even if someone clicked BIN, which would never happen anyway.

I was thinking the same thing. I built my collection off of what I could find from Tag Sales, Goodwill, A old video store, and friends. I buy few games and systems offline.
