How do you access the site's game manuals? Every one I click on gives me an internal server error.

I'm specifically looking for the manual for N64 game Doom 64 if anyone can help me out. Thanks guys!

I'll PM you the direct link. The problem is that the manuals are too big and make the application choke. I've been looking for over a year on a better way to offer them for download.

You could outsource it to a free hosting site.

I am in the process of compiling all my pdf n64 manuals into a torrent for hosting on Underground-gamers website. Got irritated waiting for them to get hosted here although I do understand the size causes issues with bandwidth etc.

Can't add many more now though anyway as I sold off my entire N64 collection to get a Wii. Had another 50 or so manuals not scanned that went with them. I have maybe 10 scanned manuals at the most to be converted to a PDF and that's it ..... game over folks!!

Converting the recently uploaded raws into covers is now my main priority

It's been very frustrating not being able to find an adequate solution to providing them without allowing them to be leeched endlessly.

Unfortunately it takes a lot of time (and HD space) to scan the manuals.

It can't always be done.

Only if you want to. Also, Valeman, PM and we'll talk about getting the rest of your manuals on the site since you did the work on them. The only downside to this method is that it allows hotlinking and doesn't track the # of downloads, but I suspect that is less important than getting everyone access to them.

There's 24 manuals of mine .... the last bar 10 or so still to be created .... sitting on the FTP site in your directory.

I'm not too worried now that I dont have any more manuals I have to convert so make them available if you want ...or not ... if leechers are hitting the site big time grabbing them. The manuals have never had a name beside them on the site ... that was never an issue anyway ... I just thought we were trying to preserve everything for these old systems.

Never reckoned on the bandwidth issues ... although I reckon my N64 manuals far outclass those on other sites in quality so no wonder they're popular  ;D
