As a collector, i wouldn't REFUSE to own any.  There are certain games i wouldn't actively seek to buy - but if it came my way, perhaps in a lot of other games - if i don't already have it, it gets shelf space.
Not the mentality to have. If it's crap, there's no need to own it.

Anyways, for me it's 99% of licensed movie/tvshow/etc games, all sports games like Madden(Though Mario sports games get a pass obviously), and generally any game that I've played and disliked, and that's a growing list. lol

This.

I collect what I like ONLY.  If I don't like it or wouldn't ever play it, then why own it?  Things like Madden would quite honestly go in the trash if I happened to pick them up in a lot of other games (unless it were a cart, in which case I would gut it and hold on to the shell).  They aren't worth anything to me, and the headache of re-selling stuff like that isn't worth it, literally.

might not be your mentality - but it is mine.  Plenty of people go for complete sets, including the crap games - meaning they actively seek out the crap games as well as the good ones - i don't go that far, but i can understand why people would do it.

I don't actively seek the crap games per se, but as I'm going for a complete NES set the crap games are unavoidable.  But to be fair, I play all the games at least once to judge for myself whether they're crap or not.  At least the crap ones are typically the cheaper titles. :p

I will challenge you on the disney one. Aladdin on the SNES and Genesis was made of pure win.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say that most 8 and 16-bit Disney games are pretty awesome.

Duck Tales, Quackshot, Castle of Illusion, Chip and Dale, etc.   And trust me, I'm no big fan of Disney.

Thats because everything Capcom made back in those days was the bomb and Sega was actually making good games. The fact that these are Disney games take nothing away from the great gameplay they bring.

Those sports games for SNES make great donor carts for repros and custom games. Let me know next time you're gonna just toss something and I'll gladly throw you some cash if you wanna ship 'em my way. I've got a couple of projects coming up and I can always use extra donors, especially since I'm still learning the process.  ::)
I'm looking for vol. 2, 4, and 5 of the Orchestral Game Music Concert CDs. I'll pay well if it's authentic and doesn't skip. :)

All FMV games except The Journeyman Project III. That was a great game.

OH. MY. GOD. YES!!! That game is just fantastic. I love games with time travel elements. The other two are pretty good but TJP3 is just amazing.

I've always stayed away from LJN games. The other day I had the opportunity to pick up A Nightmare on Elm Street (NES) for $4, which apparently is quite decent, but I couldn't do it.

I remember getting Manhunt 2 for the PS2 A few years ago at Blockbuster for 5$, as a part of a buy 2 get one free deal, played it for a minute or two, than turned it off out of disgust, it was in a jail and people where trowing up and stuff, and I returned it because I could not stand it being on the shelf, I think It's the only game I ever returned for not liking it.
