U.S. Supplier for *hubless* 27mm DVD cases?

Hey everyone,
Does anyone know of a U.S. supplier that sells double wide (~27mm) DVD cases that don't have the disc hubs on the case itself, but trays only?

My dilemma is that I want to case a lot of N64 and SNES games with manuals, and from what I hear, the current UGC's either don't fit them or don't have manual clips. I can find plenty of double wide DVD case suppliers, but all of them seem to have pretty obtrusive hubs on BOTH the front and back cover, or one large stack hub on the right side. I'm handy with a dremel, but it seems like modifying the stack cases removes a lot of material and the results are a little rough looking unless you have a very, very steady hand or want to finely sand every one.

On the other hand, if I could find hubless cases then I could just cut out a piece of foam for each one, and then cut a hole for the game to sit in. Seems like it would be clean and professional looking, and also hold the manuals securely and with enough room.

Any thoughts? I know a few of you use 27mm DVD cases since I've gotten a lot of my info from here...

Well, I'll consider that one a lost cause. Guess I have a date with a dremel and 100+ stacker DVD cases.

I just bend and twist the tabs away (they break of easily and cleanly) if the manual doesn't fit, otherwise I leave them be

Yeah, I just don't like the look of all the cut up plastic. I found this thread a while ago:

It looks okay when the game is in the case, but otherwise it's a pretty big mess. No offense to mojoeskateco, there's nothing he could do about it, but if I'm gonna spend between $50 and $100 on cases I want to make sure they look professional in the end.

Arseen, I know you and a few others use these cases - any tips on making these cuts clean or covering them up?

Like I said I usually don't remove the tabs as they won't damage the manual that easily.
I only remove them if the manual is thick, which US manuals never are, onlöy multi language European ones are.
Then I just rip the them out.
It's the cleanest and easiest way.

I don't mind the hole as it won't show when I close the case.
I have thought about it though:
You could always cut clean circle hole out and and plug the hole with matching piece of plastic that you attach from the backside (the space between the sleeve and the case) with like sticker with strong glue.
Lotta work but the result would look extremely good.

And cases usually have a ridge that is bit bigger than the CD also in the case.
Impossible to remove, except by cutting huge hole.

So let the tabs be, it will save your nerves and time, in that order!

After looking at all the alternatives like the Topic Creater I have still not found a better alternative to my needs than what I came up with. 

The cases are pretty easy to modify.   The dremel cuts through them like butter

I was put off my the messy cut job as well, however I knew I wasn't going to be staring at the empty case all that often.

I also think my way looks better than having foam inserted. 

I've got about 40 done.  I'll have pics of my cased snes collection once I get another order of cases in.

I was actually looking to find the hub 27 mm cases in another color for my N64 games.  I was able to find some white ones only and they were pretty expensive to ship to Canada.   I'd love to find some red ones for N64 games.

That's true - I guess they'll be closed with a game in them most of the time. I'd love to see those pictures when you get them up, I'll be looking out for that thread.

Have you done any N64 cases yet? What orientation do you put the cart in, and what cuts do you make?

I haven't done any 64 cases yet.

I modified all my cases (I only ordered 40 initially to test them out) for SNES games and then decided to switch my N64 games from UGCs to DVD cases.

When I get more in I'll see if an N64 game is even doable.  I'll post my results here.

One good thing about switching my SNES games over from UGCs was that I gained more cases for my NES games.

If I can get the N64 games to work I might try casing them in White cases.  I think it would be neat to have different colours for each System.

Clear UGC for NES
Black DVD for SNES
White DVD for N64
