Should PURCHASED digital games count in your collection?
<< < (2/7) > >>
MedaForce:
I count them.
I spend a pretty good amount of money buying iOS, XBLA, WiiWare, Steam and GFW games.

I do understand the hesitant, since I don't own it physically I tend to over look them and it sucks not having anything to show off up on my shelf, but with the industry moving in this direction we can either embrace it or our years of collecting are numbered...

First of all: A poll, are you crazy, you know happens with polls, especially if they are important polls. ;D

OK to answer your question.

If the games are big complete games then yes you should  count them but maybe separate them.
Like: I own 2000 hard copy games and 20 digital copy games.
That way people can separate them , if they don't like digital copy games.

I hate digital copy games because I want the manual and the cover in tangeable form.
Also if the game is only in digital for, manufacturers can at any point remove the game from being available or even playable if they so choose.
So when consoles go to download only games, I quit buying them and pleasure myself with my old good games.

So my vote would be: maybe or in some cases.
Mick Dundee:
If you paid for them, and its only on your Backloggery, sure. There is an option for "Other" ownership to click I think.

Hence my idea of only downloading games I own physical copies of. That way, if I lose the digital copies I still have the physical ones.
