Should PURCHASED digital games count in your collection?

I hate digital copy games because I want the manual and the cover in tangeable form.
Also if the game is only in digital for, manufacturers can at any point remove the game from being available or even playable if they so choose.
So when consoles go to download only games, I quit buying them and pleasure myself with my old good games.

Hence my idea of only downloading games I own physical copies of. That way, if I lose the digital copies I still have the physical ones.

So you buy games twice?

Normally I think that digital games shouldn't count. But here in Poland, thanks to CD Projekt we can get Steam games on a physical disc. I've got Serious Sam HD Gold Edition and Zeno Clash in that form (and I'm planning on getting Super Meat Boy), and I do count those in my collection.

Well, in the context of your backloggery page, yes, they count IMO. They're games, period. You own the right to play them (for now), and they're part of your collection.
Buuut, I see a lot of you guys "casing" digital-only games, and that just doesn't make sense to me.

i currently don't - but i would like to.
i have tons of stuff i download from PSN, and because of the terrible way they are stored on the PS3 it's a nightmare to locate games to play. It's only going to get worse too, as PS plus is promising full games every month. (off topic, but i wish i could select the game to play from the trophies screen - as sometimes i look at trophies i am missing and think, i'd like to just play to go for a specific trophy, and have to search through all my stuff to find the game.
Would really like to be able to back these up to a card and store/case them.
It does feel a little like it would be cataloguing pirate games though - even though i purchased them. I hate not having the physical media.

If it's really good and I enjoy it, then yes. I don't really consider having a digital and physical version to be multiple copies though, as the digital versions could disappear at a moment's notice.
