I kinda wanna call BS on that, cause IIRC all of current consoles are region locked. AFAIK the only region free system is the PS Vita.

True, but I can't think any PS3 game that actually uses the lock-out.

PS3 is completely region free (as far as games go) and the XBOX360 has lockout, but most games seem to not employ it.  The Wii is pretty much the only one holding on to that tired-ass tradition.

yea and when i found out that the 3ds was region protected i got so pissed because all of the previous handhelds before it werent. >:(

Yeah, that is super odd, but like I was saying, Nintendo seems to be all about that :-\
