Where does one get the GBA/DS game cases at? I would love to add this amazing box art to my gaming collection.

Nintendo online store. If you're crafty, go check out your local GameStop stores, and see if they sell their used DS games in the original cases, or if they just put the cartridges in a glass container. The the latter is the case, then talk to the guy behind the counter. All of the GameStops around where I live just THROW THE CASES AWAY when people trade their complete DS games in. I think it's a ridiculous waste, but it happens a lot. Last time I went into my local GameStop, I asked if they got any DS game trades in and walked out of the store with a cardboard box filled with 50+ DS cases. That's easily the best/cheapest way to get cases, and everyone benefits. At the end of the day, it's one less thing for the employees to bring to the dumpster, you get your cases that you wanted so badly, and the cases are saved from spending an eternity in a landfill.

Everyone wins! ;D

I see, that's a great way to get my DS games in cases. The issue I'm seeing is that I want to buy cases that I can put the GB games into AKA Pokemon Blue, Red, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Super Mario Land, so on and so forth. Where would I get those type of Gameboy cartridge cases? ;D

The great Pokemon covers being made go me wanting to revisit my old Pocket Monster covers too. The old ones I made used the retail scans (mostly) so this time around i thought i'd try out some custom versions. I've only made one cover so far to see how receptive everyone is to it and to get some opinions.  I wanted to still use the original text from the box but reformat it to look like more modern day Pokemon covers.

Pokemon Red

Also, giving you guys a heads up this cover's spine should match up next to the DS pokemon covers. I really wanted the pokemon games to line up nicely without the need to completely recreate the DS versions as well.

As always, tell me what you think!  ;D

the only thing I dont like on it is how it states that it is "Pokemon Red Version     Pokemon Red Version".  There is no typo in my statement, lol

Yeah, I gotta say I'm with him. I honestly think that the way the spines look with your covers now (with the Pokemon logo, and then the version name to the right of it in that "Red Version" style font [from the front cover]) looks best. Stating the name twice is kinda weird, I don't know why the latest games are doing that. :\

Same cases with modification.

Yeah looks stupid, but Shenke said that he wants them line up with the new ones, but doesn't want to redo the new ones.

But on the other hand I think the B & W spines look so wierd that they should be redone to match other DS spines.

Yeah, that's exactly my point. However, the back of your Red version redo looks fantastic, Shenske. Way better than retail, for sure.

I know you guys don't really like the spine style i'm using but since nintendo used it .... i'm using it.  I'm making these covers styled after the new DS games and removing that spine style would negate what i am trying to go for.

So it's totally out of question that you would do alternates?

Oh jeeze, I hope not. I think the spines already in effect look so much better... If he doesn't do matching alternates for Black and White, then that's the final nail in the coffin; there's no way I'm buying Black and White. (Not like I really wanted them anyway... :D)

Wel doing alternates to B&W spines is easy, as they have monotone background.

Yes, its out of the question. If you want the other spine style then you can use the one's i already have on the site.  I don't want to have 10 alternates for every cover, i'm keeping it to a minimum.

I personally didn't like the style at first either but it has grown on me, perhaps it will grow on the rest of you too.

Yes, but I don't have the "Version" font to do the spines the way Shenske had them before. Could anybody tell me what font that is and/or where I could download it?
