Game Boy - Golf WIP

Another WIP, using scans from http://npes.free.fr/index.php. Again, I need the barcode. Anyone know where to find barcode numbers, and if there's some sort of barcode generator?

Oh, and sorry the preview looks odd, my trial Imandix doesn't have a good equivalent of a DS case.

EDIT: And another.

After working on this off and on since October of last year its finally finished. Both covers we have on the site have pixilated front artwork so i had to touch up every little detail by hand. Now i am very proud to have it complete  ;D

Could you detail what went into this cover? Did you layer over the original cover and trace? Your post indicates you didn't just put the cover through a filter and call it complete.

Sure I can  :)

Basically filters would not really help me with this image. I had to zoom in very close to the front artwork and manually smudge the pixels to make the appropriate color and get rid of pixelation. There was also a lot of cases where i had to completely retrace and recolor.

The spine logo was changed because the spine area was not really fitting to have a square logo (obviously long horizontal logos work best).  It took me forever to figure out what font to choose that would match the original font used in the original logo. After closer examination i found out it is the same font the Madden games used prior to 2006.  The spine logo also matches very nicely next to my remake of the first Super Mario Land for the Game Boy.

The back has everything retyped with a filtered image of the front artwork behind all the text.  The original box was very bland only having a solid monochrome color for the background so i decided to liven it up a bit while still keeping the feeling of the original.

Here is a comparison shot from the original scanned artwork we have on the site vs. what mine looks like.

There you go Doom ol' buddy  :)

Have you ever used What the Font?

You upload an image, type out the text contained in the image and it searches it's massive database of fonts to attempt to determine what style font is used in the image.

I've only used it a couple of times, but the results have been impressive.
