No. Replaced screenshots won't get it rejected. They may get it labelled as custom rather than retail, but not rejected.
People do come here for the quality, and then whine about the strict guidelines. It's really not 'excruciating' - it's just a bit time consuming. It would be fantastic to have more artists producing site quality stuff on a regular basis, but it would also be fantastic to NOT hear the complaints about the approval process.
Food for thought. We've had hundreds of 'artists' throw hissy fits about it over the last few years, but how many of them have started up their own, better site?
I get that Sheep, and I really hope I have not come across here as throwing a hissy fit (as you say, and as I desperately wanted to avoid and pointed out when I initially started coming back at you guys when Tik gave me the first round of feedback)...........although I am sure it seems that way. lol. I am not claiming to be an "artist", nor any kind of Photoshop wizard, I merely enjoy learning how to expand my skills with it and that is what you guys are enabling for me here.......I guess it seemed on my end that the parameters of what was required were not clear at first but I see it now.
Overall, I just want to contribute to the community man.......when I was just making my SFC covers for myself, not having anyone request any of me, I was good with the thought that some people somewhere might find use for them and even took some enjoyment out of looking at my Mediafire download stats! like "Ooooo look!!! 5 people have downloaded my Castlevania cover!!!".
But when Banisher came in there and asked me to a SFC cover for him, which he was really pleased with, and then he asked if I would start doing these for you guys (again, not for my own collection)........I took quite a bit of pride in the fact I was REALLY contributing to the community at that point.
I guess that after 8 or so of those with nothing but praise, combined with not really knowing anything about the process and just how high the standards are for wider site inclusion, it just shocked me a little...........and I dont deal with things that came at me from left field very well.
So yeah, all good, I dont feel like "Ahh screw those guys and their crazy standards!!!" lol, I always have appreciated the constructive feedback and it has ALREADY made me a much better Photoshopper, so thats all I ever wanted to do here!!!
Simply to make covers that people need, like and think are of a good standard, and if you guys deem them good enough for the wider site then I will be very happy.
*EDIT* - I just noticed that Home Improvement IS out there!!! many thanks and I hope you understand and not think of weird of me that I feel quite proud of that right now!
