Okay,

I know that this was probably the least popular handheld of the early 1990's, but after making a template for the Game Gear games (that I don't think even fit in a DS case), I thought "Hey, there isn't a template of the Lynx either, I wonder what I could do for that..."

It also helps that there are just over 100 games for it and most of them aren't that rare.

So without further adu...

Nice one!
If you're open to suggestions how about making the spine red, keep the white Atari logo and writing, and draw a white border instead of the current red one around the Lynx logo on the upper part.

I neither own a Lynx nor am I going to pick one up (already bought enough video game hardware for one year ;) ). This is not a suggestion from someone who will actually use this or any revision of your template, so feel free to ignore me and I won't hold it against you ;)  I just thought it might look better in red than black.

I chose the black spine since most of the Lynx game boxes had black borders around them.

That makes sense. Didn't know that
Actually I don't know jack jack about the Lynx other than it was (like the Jaguar) ahead of its time and very poorly marketed.

Technically speaking the Lynx was years ahead of the competition in it's days....

Your template is nice lumber.... I especially like the lynx logo recreation attempt!!!!

Besides Game Gear Games fit perfectly in DS-Cases.... In US ones as well as even better in EU ones....
The only and always tough problem for me personally is that the instructions won't fit....

I never played the Lynx, but the Turboexpress was a pretty good idea at the time as well.

Cool, then I guess that we just need scans of Game Gear and Atari Lynx boxes then.

Allright...

I made some changes to the template and have created myself a dilemma. Do I want to make the spine truer to the original boxes or make them eaisier to read. So I thought I'd make an example of each and see what you guys think.

Silver Spine

Black Spine

Opinions, anyone?

The silver spine looks way cooler... Maybe you could try to use black text on it to make it more readable....?

I tried that and it was just about as readable. I'll probably just use a bolder font like Impact or something like it. The original boxes used white text.

An Inner Bevel effect would also look good if you decide to use white font

I agree with tiktektak, the silver spine looks much better than the black one.
