I have a bone to pick with UGCs, atleast the ones I bought(video store shopper). They do not hold the cart in place, they flop around and it....dissatisfies me. It is clear they were designed specifically for SNES and N64, no love for the Genesis, as Genesis carts flop around and it feels nasty and horrible IMHO. Now for 32x games, its better due to the width of 32x carts being almost like n64 games. Famicom games obviously are not meant for the UGCs as well.

Why should I stand for this?

I already have a good amount of my Genesis collection in the proper clamshels, why not have a uniform system for all of them?

I know many of us have traded out our Genesis games to UGCs, and they are laying around (if you threw them away, Shame on you). I am looking to purchase these Genesis Clam shells. I need 50 of them at the moment. I was thinking 75 cents plus shipping to Michigan would be a fair price, amirite?

SNES games flop around just as much. The N64 holder seems the only one that holds games relatively snug.

They were designed with rental stores in mind, not collectors :(

Yeah, the move around but personally it doesn't bother me as if you really think about it, they are sitting on the shelf not doing much moving.
Also, its wayyy better than stacking them on top of each other or side to side and having them crash to the floor when you try and remove one lol.

I also want to do this for a sense of uniformity and well to seem legit. If I had a large enough injection molder, I would make them myself, but I cant.

I'm with you... Always liked and very much prefer the black clamshells over UGC for Genesis games.  Finding them can be tricky though.  Hit up garage sales, flea markets, and eBay (once in a while you'll find a lot of empty cases even).  Buy in bulk when you see a lot that works for your needs.  Sports games tend to sell for really cheap and a lot of them do come in the standard Genesis cartridge size, rather than the larger EA sports ones.  You should probably be able to find yhour fifty cases in just a handful of lots.  Just take the case and re-sell the games.  A little water and sometimes some lighter fluid cleans up even the dirtiest of cases pretty nicely, so don't worry too much about buying something that looks a bit dustier than you might otherwise like or something with a rental sticker or two on it.  I house all my Genesis games in the clamshells.  Took a bit to track down enough cases in good shape to fill the collection, but it was definitely worth it.

The SNES games fit snugly if you put them in there with the dust cover.  Also 32X games fit very nicely into UGCs, good thing too since most of them came in those shitty paper boxes.  As for Genesis games yeah... I wouldn't recommend storing them in UGCs, they don't fit into the holders at all and just drop to the bottom of the box.  I just buy out crappy cheap sports games and salvage the cases.

32X games can fit in Master System clam shells.
