OK, im trying to persuade riviera multimedia to reproduce UGC's, for people based in Europe, they have said unless i ordered "a container full" they wouldnt be able to do it, ive asked them how many they would need to make to sell at £1 per case and am awaiting the reply.

IF you would be interested in this, how many would you need??

I'm still waiting to see how the cases of Seymor Onion turn out.

And UGCs won't hold SNES and N64 manuals well.

Otherwise I could use 1500-2000+ of them.

£1 a case is pretty high cost. I need 350-400 to start, but would want that unit cost reduced

It would be really, REALLY easy to model up a case that would hold the games plus the manuals.  It could even be modeled so that the current crop of covers wouldn't need to be tweaked at all.  Just design it so that the height and width are proportionately scaled up with the spine (to accommodate the manuals) and then you could just print the coves at 100% + XX% so they'd fit without having to dick around with stretching or reconfiguring.

If I understood Seymor Onion correctly he is plannig cases that would hold the manuals and use UGC covers as is.
I currently use UGC covers with  near operfect fit with doublewide DVD cases that hold the manuals.
Only problem is the carts are loose and the front and back disc tabs ahave to be cut away which leaves ugly holes.

I think he said the cases would be buck or so in the end.

1 pound a case. That's even more expensive then importing UGCs from the US directly for me.
2 + 3 = 23

Yup.  Pound a case definitely not worth it

if you order from them directly you cant get them for less than a pound a case, for example i was quoted roughly $252, (cant remember the exact ammount) which comes to roughly £162 = 1.62p per case, thats not counting any import duties you may have to pay, can someone quote roughly what they paid to have someone else order them for you? and price per case?

what are you paying for DVD cases per case?

what would you consider as your cutoff price? 0.50p? slightly more?, slightly less?

The first batch I bought a case of 100 for £125.21 then I had to pay £15 import tax on that, that was in March 2011. Then this march I bought 200 for £198.79 and I think it came to just over £30 import tax on that. Those prices included all shipping and that was ridiculous for something that costs $40 (about £24) per 100.

Since the whole cost is shipping I can't see why they should cost more than what they do in the US. 40c a case is roughly 24p in the UK, double that to say 50p each with reasonable at cost postage and that would be fair for consumers.

Tax and shipping on top obviously.  I was just talking bare unit cost.

when i was guesstimating earlier today i came up with around 85p as a minimum and £1.20 as the maximum, £1 per unit seemed to me to be a reasonable price to pay, but i havent heard anything from them, (just checked the DVD cases, 80p per unit not including shipping)

talking of which, when i initially contacted them i said the UGC's were the same inner and outer dimensions as the double DVD cases and that all they would need to do would be to replace the DVD holding parts with game cart holding parts, so IN THEORY, IF they went ahead with this fitting manuals in wouldnt be a problem
