Ok, so I was sitting at work and this just popped into my head. A new way to store UGCs.

This may have been mentioned before, but do you know those old VHS storage boxes that could hold like 20 tapes? Well, most of them had the crappy fake woodgrain look. I thought about peeling all that off, smoothing it out with body filler (or something of the sort), Painting it, and making custom labels for what system's games I'd be putting in it. From what I remember, they could hold the size of the plastic cases.

If you still don't know what I mean, here is an image.

What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

20 cases per box.

My NES collection alone would be 25-30 boxes, Add SNES 20 boxes, N64 6 boxes so far, Jaguar 2 boxes.

Then there is Genesis.....

Good that I like my games on display on shelves.

Yea, but this could be a nice space saver.

Don't know. My current storageroom is quite narrow.

Go see my collection topic in photo gallery and you'll see that I have nice wall shelves custom measured to save space without wasting.

the whole point of casing a game with a cover is to display it, what's the point if you are just going to hide it away again in a drawer?

Well, not everyone has a ton of room to show thier whole collection, It was just an idea that I thought I would share.

So in a sense, If you have a Porsch Carrera GT, are you going to let it sit outside so everyone can see it on display, or put it in your garage so it can stay protected?

So in a sense, my idea is for added protection and a space saver.

  • Your words are as empty as your soul!
i have two of the same but for cassettes because last year i couldn't get lots of ds cases so i went for the cassette cases and they do save a lot of space so i think this is a good idea.

I guess consideration has to be given to the size of your collection as well then, but for me I keep it reasonable and everything is on display.
