E3 2012 Discussion

So E3 is coming up in a few weeks. What's everyone looking forward to seeing?

I'm curious to know more about the WiiU, personally. I'm admittedly a life-long Nintendo fan, and I have a friend who gets to go to E3 every year, and she had nothing but good things to say about the controller and the demos last year. I'm also curious to see where Mario can go now, having saved the universe twice. If they show a Mario game that is... I also wonder if companies like Retro-Bit and Hyperkin might have any neat new-retro stuff to show.

Also looking forward to seeing what Microsoft and Sony have up their sleeves. And of course seeing which 3rd party presentation completely embarrasses themselves this year.

Hopefully some info on Planetside 2 (maybe a beta date?).  REALLY looking forward to that game, especially after how disappointing BF3 was.

Also, does anyone belive the dreamcast 2 rumors that have been going around? if so, it might be at e3 2012....

I hadn't heard those rumors. Sega back in the console market....that would be interesting... But I'd be surprised if they did.

Rumors are rumors.  Dreamcast 2 talk has been around since the death of the original.

They are making hardware again, only for arcade macines, in japan.

But it still gives me hope of a dreamcast2

In all reality, the more recent arcade hardwares are based on (with permission) PS3 and Xbox architecture (lindburgh and Chihiro respectively), and the rest were just computers or designed by Sega and made by Nintendo and Namco (the Triforce).

The last arcade hardware made by Sega from scratch was the Naomi2 and that was just a Dreamcast with more ram.

Sega is software now. I wish they would make a new system, but no. Lets take what we can get.

I really hate the exclusive content BS.  I don't want to pay 20 bucks more for a copy of Forza 4 just so I can get an extra 5 cars.  That's fucking absurd.  I would have had to pre-order AND buy the special edition to get that.  Boo.

Yeah is almost as bad as the COD games
