Ebay Shinning force loose?
Akiba1953:
I Saw that the other day. I found a used game store near me and wanted to see how much i could make if i bought and resold the game with no manual. but i wasn't understanding why just that one copy was going so freaking high

That makes perfect sense! I thought that I was missing something like it was a gift from the maker/designer or it was some recalled prototype. The listing didn't say anythig about that so I guess its just some angry guy trying to get back at the seller.
Belmont86:
by my experiences as a buyer on ebay and I noticed that some vendors create more than one account that has happened to me several times that an item interests me enter i my bid and the days go by and nobody else puts a bid a bidder appears and begins to rise again the price of the item and when I stop bidding the price just got too high sometimes it even goes up to the hundreds days go by and the bidding finishes supposedly someone wins the item, several times I left the item saved on my watchlist and a few days later a message appears that the seller relisted the item and i do it again and once again the price goes high. if you do not believe me follow this item or other and you'll see that the price will rise very quickly and you will see what I say sellers do it to get more money out of their items.

Yup... It's called shill-bidding (I think) and it happens way too often if you ask me. As a part-time eBay seller myself, I never partake in the practice as I find it disgusting and damaging to true market value. And as a buyer, I've had it happen to me as well.
I'm still not sure what went on with this particular game auction, but it seems clear there's some sort of bidder and/or seller dishonesty going on to get and incomplete copy of Shining Force up to such astronomical (in comparision to actual market value) levels.

Maybe some money laundering going on. Or someone entered the wrong amount , but y would they enter the wrong amount multiple times? ???
