I'm grateful for every contribution but just if it's in a state which is useable. You know after years of being part of this great project I've seen soooooo many people come and go and so many sub-par covers posted that I'm starting to get angry fast when people upload not ok stuff and then even won't listen to what people in charge have to say. Even worse people tend to not read all the guides and stuff but just do and upload. EDIT: Just for the record. Most of the covers on our site have been uploaded by a handful off people. Talking about all the people who contribute... |

lol ;D maybe it could be more then a handful of people then if you dont get angered quickly and get rude with them...feedback is the only thing that helps people get better at what they do. i was getting discouraged to not bother to contribute anymore, and thanks to shen going into more detail showing what the actual problems were specifically it has gotten me back to wanting to try again. i'm sure alot of times you get people who you tell what they did wrong, and they just keep repeating the exact same problems over and over again, then yeah i can understand you feel pissed off and like its a waste of time to talk to them, but then theirs others like myself, and i dont believe my covers were a total p.o.s. and waste of time, and now that i actually got some personal guidance i can actually spend more time and fix the problems that i do, and learn to be better from it. That being said, maybe you should get someone else on staff to try and give feedback to people when they can afford the time to, and that might help out more so the quality of covers being submitted and fill in alot of the holes. Art isnt really something you can learn 100% perfect the first time from reading a general forum post, its a skill to be developed by people who put the time and effort into it ;) |
