Spine text/logos for Beast Wars, Beyblade, Reboot and Wild Arms 2 vary from blurry to extremely blurry.
There are akward black lines next to some of the spines for Dragon Seeds, Worms and a weird white line on the spine for Reboot.
Also, where did you get your scans? Some of the scans have some pixelation problems, blurry and moire effect.

Sorry to be so picky but thats the quality rules of TCP

the black lines are how the covers are. i'm getting the scans from my own games, 400dpi.  also not really sure what you mean by blurry spines?  i've printed them all and they are perfectly clear ?   only thing i can think that you'd be thinking of is on beyblade the bottom corners of the title on the spine fades out, which is out it appears on the actual case.
Also not sure what you mean by pixelation problems as they are all clear and high res?

i figured since they dont exist on the site at all, and they are of good quality (especially compared to this twisted metal 3 cover that when printed the text is not legible http://www.thecoverproject.net/view.php?game_id=1320) that it would be helpful to put it up at least until something better comes along....

dont take this as trying to be rude or flame or anything, i have the highest respect for the work/quality of work you produce, i'm just not understanding how these covers are so bad that they cant be used in the mean time until someone puts up something better....i mean come on, look at that twisted metal 3 cover lol, and theirs a bunch more like that :s

@shenske & tiktektak

I can kinda see where Jonesat comming from with his opinion. I understand you guys want nothing but good quality covers and thats what makes this place so great. But at the same time, there is a bit of lower quality stuff around here that Im assuming was added a good while back when there probably wasnt a whole lot in the database yet. Alot of which Ive been very happy to use. Yes I would much prefer a higher quality cover but it definetly does the trick for the mean time. Like Shenske's Twisted Metal 3 cover. Im assuming that was something you probably whipped up a while back to do the trick for the time beeing. Im not saying you should accept complete grabage covers that are not worth anyones time but Im sure alot of these covers would be great to use untill something better is produced.

Maybe a neat way to sort out the good from the bad is to have two sections under each console. Maybe something like "High Quality Covers" & "Rough Covers". At the same time artists would be more easily able to view the list of covers in that database that could still use a Higher quality cover. Then once a better one comes in, scrap it from the database.

That Twisted Metal III cover i made is 100% complete garbage! Before i even became a member (3+ years ago) i uploaded those covers. Our quality standards were not what they are now. That cover should not be on the site at all. There are other covers like that on the site too but we can't remove covers ... only replace them.  The reason why it has never been replaced is because no one elsehad made a cover for it yet.

Please don't think this is oneof those hypocritical "do as i say, not as i do" kind of things.  I understand why you canbe upset that the covers you have made may be better than some of the other covers that are currently on the site but the ones you are comparing to (like the TM3 cover) shouldnt be on the site in the first place.

I don't think you understand the purpose of TCP with our covers. I do understand that your covers are better than nothing but we don't host covers on the site simply as placeholders untill something better comes along.  Its better to fix the mistakes the first time so there is a good cover right off the bat when it gets hosted.

By blurry spine i mean that you most likely took the orignal text from the spine of the CD case and blew it up. When this happened it made the spine text very blurry. Someof the other spines like Wild Arms 2 you used a very low rez pixilated logo from the net and blew it up to fit the spine.

 Here is some parts from your covers that i am talking about.  Imageshack resized the image smaller so the flaws are not as evident. Covers should have consistant quality even when you zoom in.  The akward black lines i was refering to is from the two images you merged for the front, back and spine. You didnt trim out the excess black space. The top left shows some of the pixelation and moire effect i was talking about and the spine logos should speak for themselves when i say that they are blurry.

Your covers are not "so bad they can't be used" I pointed out all of these things so that you could fix them.  I'm not intending to sound like a jerk i was justtrying to clarify whati am saying and why the covers under their current state can't be hosted on the site.

You know shenske this is exactly why I do not bother to explain the reasons to everyone why their covers got rejected.

It just leads to discussions which are unnecessary.

As shenkse said we got strict quality restrictions on our site. Even though there are covers on here from a long time ago which are sub-par this doesn't mean we would ever host sth like those again.

So there are two options.

Be grateful that shenkse invests his time to tell you what should be redone to get the covers accepted.

Leave them as they are and those covers will be rejected.

Got it? ::)
