Well, from what I gather, all he did was convert the NTSC cover on the site to PAL, so yeah, the front and back should look very familiar.

When all thats changed is some legal info to "switch" it to another region i think that the original artist's name should be on the cover. When I find some time I'll switch the artist name from Alex Philip to M47R1X because i too think that is unfair. Same thing with all the new Dreamcast covers that were submitted by Raven1280, they will be switched Lumberjack42. The only thing that was changed was spine color.

I thought about this some time before adding them. Ultimately I decided to leave the people who uploaded them even though I saw that they changed only minor stuff.

On second thought leaving the original authors would have been better maybe.

Why not make the name something like

Lumberjack42 (edited by Raven1280)

We thought about that but ultimately it was decided by all admins that double names would make the artists databse to big and cluttered.

Seems like M47r1x dose that a lot..

the 3 SCD covers he submitted are actually my covers converted to slim case.

Not that I really mind, but other artists might get upset over it.

Thaddeus Grey:

I was talking with tiktektak back and forth about some SNES covers I did for KaiserWAVE and that's when I threw those in. I told him they were conversions, but I guess I forgot to mention that in the forums. That was a long-ass time ago when I had first started all this biz (bout a month in to the whole deal) and didn't expect them to get posted as they would have had to start a whole new style of slimline DVD covers for the Sega CD, but apparently they did. It started for me as a way to get ALL of my games in one unified template that looked really good (Vt-102's slim template) and to get a good Dark Wizard cover (did that one ever get fixed?). I am glad that someone can use them (I had converted alot more for my personal collection, as no Sega CD manuals would fit in a standard DVD case anyway). Crap man, if I had known they would be posted then I would have thanked you at the proper time. But alas, late is better than never. THANK YOU for your work on the Sega CD covers and yes, all were modified. Damn, that was almost a year ago. When did those go up? I had done this with Saturn too, but I never uploaded them. A slim template instead of a standard template, but not MookyJooky's. I feel his is best for the J-Saturn games. Probably won't anytime soon.

EDIT: By the way, as far as I can remember, unless it was an SNES conversion for KaiserWAVE then I don't believe I have done any other conversions.

It is a smidge different though, as the Sega CD ones are from scans where the Spyro cover was "hand-crafted." But nonetheless, credit is due. nvm, douche statement.

EDIT 2: I went carreening through my PMs and found what I think was the conversation, but I guess our outboxes clear themselves out every now and then so I can't confirm. But it was definitely either Shenske or tiktektak. July of last year. I started in mid-June, so this was a beginner f%$^-up. As you can probably tell, this is really rattling me because here I am going off and then something that I did a long time ago bites me in the butt that I wasn't entirely aware of. And I try to be the nicest, most giving guy around, but I tend to f^&* things up alot. Not just at my own house apparently either. THANKS AGAIN Vt-102 for your awesome work on the under-appreciated Sega consoles. While I'm at it, I did some Parasite Eve covers (I did all the scans and all, don't worry, I wanted to make it "mine") for the vertical version, but I went ahead and threw out a horizontal version as well which looked a helluvalot like the one already on the site (which I believe was yours... poo). I did the work and I mentioned that bit in this thread, but still, if it passes QA it might be an issue. So if you don't hate me by now Vt-102, I'll just sit here and shut up about any of this. If you want to pull those Sega CD covers then by all means be my guest. Or (and I'm very serious about it here) change the names of those covers to Vt-102. Whoever can do that. I think it'll make everybody happy.
