The image you used for the front looks pretty low rez, is it at least 300dpi image? I would advise replacing it with a high quality image. Please don't "stretch out" the back legal information on the back, just retype it ... it will look much better.  Other than that good job on your first cover.

comletely redid the suikoden cover, much happier with the results this time

Hi, new here =) Just found out about all this and thought I'd give it a go. I'm hoping to get my entire PSone collection DVD-cased... but it's a NIGHTMARE finding hi res Ridge Racer Type 4 stuff!!

Anyway, here's my first:





It's far from perfect, but it looks nice once it's in a case =) I sort of redid the logo because I didn't like the one from the real box. I'm thinking I should have left the flame off though, it looks a bit corny :-p Oh well!

the wild arms 2 preview image looks awful in the preview images, but full size and printed it looks fine. the previews cant properly display the filters i used

I'm not a fan of the real life pics you used for the back but I love the filters and color scheme you used for the front. The font rocks too.

i have to agree with you about the back, i like how it came out and i like the images, i just wish i could have made them look a little cartoonier, the cartoon filter in gimp just didnt quite do the trick.

ok, so im assuming my wild arms 2 cover got rejected, im just wondering if i can get some insight about why. im pretty far along on the rest of the sereis, and i'd love to get all 6 of them uploaded.  so let me know what i can do to fix this one and ill be sure to avoid such mistakes in the future.

Nah, I'm guessing it was just taken down to be examined. It can be a surprisingly lengthy process. In my experience your errors need to be pretty glaring for them to not add it to the site, so don't worry.

Front looked pretty strange. Maybe overfiltered? Not pixelated but I dunno kinda blocky. I thought long about that cover because it looks really nice other than the front.
did the source of the front looked like that too? Was it high res? Maybe the source had a strong moire effect?

Seems like someone wants to start a fight with the quality control department here.

EDIT: From you post I assume you have no idea how time-consuming the quality control is when you take it seriously right?

it was actually a filter to make it look like it was printed on canvas, i hit the filter by accident when working and kinda fell in love with it, but never added it to the first one cause it was already flattened/merged together.

so that weird look is intentional, and i kinda figured thats why it didnt go up. 

so ball is in your court on this one, if you think so i can remove it, and refrain from using it on the rest of my wild arms covers.

(i looks alot more canvasy printed than on the computer screen)

EDIT2: The more I think about what you just said the more I think that people like you really make me mad. I spent hours examing covers(which at least 60% are crap) so that they can be posted on the site and then such a "person" comes along telling me that I don't do my stuff right!!!!
