If it were as simple as enlarging it to fit a DVD case, we would probably be done with the PS1 cases. Many covers don't scale well, so the procedures used vary a lot. Some covers do scale well, so for something like the front of Crash Bandicoot 2, all I had to do was scale it, center it, and move + recreate the logos that were at the bottom.

That was a pain in the ass, and that's probably as easy as possible for CD->DVD. Other times cover artists find art similar to the art on the front cover, and use that as a base for the DVD cover, and put the logos and whatnot over it. Sometimes they just find art that fits better to a DVD case, and use that. For the back, most of the time it's just retyped in a similar font, and then the screenshots + legal information is added. Spines are pretty much 100% custom, although for PAL I guess it's just the title on a white background.

seems ntsc ppl have more luck than us pal users with all sorts of crap over the covers for example:

this is a scan of my shadowman front cover, notice the playstation and pal images in the top left corner that make things frickin annoying to remove, and scale the image to fit a dvd case well, easiest solution i can think of is making some sort of design where the original cover is kept as is inside a custom designed template, kinda like how the infogrames best of's are eg:

i wouldnt mind something like that, something a bit funkier and up to date tho

There's not really an easy way of doing it. Every PS game i have done, i have had to paint out logo's etc for them or paint in some missing bits. You might have to get inventive. Take a look over in the DC section at that Shadowman cover. Most of what you want removed will be missing on that one.

Has anyone made cover for Blaster Master: Blasting again? it seems like I had one and now i can't find it

Been playing round with my Klonoa Door To Phantomile scan, i cut a bit of stuff here and there, cut out the barcode and sony legal jibberish from the black bar on the side,

any feedback?
