Shenske is indeed talented. :)

And, no, they are not lost. *points to links on the left side of the page* *points to search bar at the top of the page*

The covers just get shown off here, most of them (if not all) are uploaded to the site and can be found along with the retail covers. If it qualifies as "old" then it's likely on the site already.

I know i checked there for some of the covers displayed here. Like this one for instance. http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=1058.msg17728#msg17728

Links are dead and these custom covers are not in the main site's directory  :'(

I found them for ya. It appears they were re-uploaded and/or had their file names changed. They are still in the "waiting for approval" batch of stuff.

To find covers between being uploaded by the user and being uploaded officially to the main site, it requires a little bit of either know-how or guessing. Upload limbo is located at
http://www.thecoverproject.net/uploads/ and both LoM covers are there.

Obviously, they haven't been officially checked for quality, although you're probably safe in most cases.

I was going to upload a few raws for my topic in the request forum, but after I got them scanned in, I decided to give it a shot.  I have a bit of previous Photoshop experience, but this was my first attempt at making a game cover.  Not sure if it will meet the site's standards, but I was happy with it...

Also, thanks to Shenske for the template and Doom for the scanning guide.  :)

Edit:  Here's another one.  Feedback for the SmackDown! one as well as this one would be appreciated.

Thanks for the feedback!   ;D

Here are three more that I've done, though I'm not sure how well they'll be received.  I opted for a white top/spine, as it is more true to the originals.  I'll wait to upload these to the site to see what you all think.   ;)

EDIT:  Just click on the previews for the printable versions.

Grand Theft Auto (Collectors' Edition)

Grand Theft Auto 2 (Collectors' Edition)

Grand Theft Auto London 1969 (Collectors' Edition)

I think the "white top" versions for these games are appropriate because the originals were that way.  Could you also make black versions as well for the people who have them individually? Thanks

Great job on the covers btw

I personally think they look awsome. And just in time for me. I recentelly got these 3 games as well as a ton of other caseless PS1 games and desided to go DVD on them.

I will defenatelly be printing these 3 out!

Yeah definitely like the white bar idea, I'd like to see that from some of the older 3-packs. Definitely want to keep the black bar alternative though.

Speaking of, why hasn't this site seen the crash bandicoot/spyro series yet? Those both came in 3-packs too and that would be something to consider.

I've yet to see any usable high res art. Also, the CB 3 pack only had one CB game, the other two were Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing.

oh yeah I forgot about that. But eh, in the world of custom covers you can do whatever you want :P

I have the complete cases to Spyro 1 , CB1, and CB3 (GH), but my scanner is pulling the glitchyest crap on me right now so it's no help whatsoever :/

I pawned off my copies of all three Spyro games to GameStop. I don't even remember what I got with the credit... However, I do have CB2, (GH) CB3, (Collector's Edition) CTR, (Collector's Edition and two GH lol) and CB (Collector's Edition and maybe GH?) Odd, the only PS1 CB game I don't have is Crash Bandicoot.

Since the PS1 was the first widespread disc based console, we handled our games badly and needed multiple copies. :-[

Thanks for all the positive comments!

I submitted the white top/spine versions of the GTA covers (go to my previous post for the full versions), so here are the black top/spine versions:

Grand Theft Auto 2 (Collectors' Edition)

Grand Theft Auto London 1969 (Collectors' Edition)

Yeah the PS1 was my first system, and sadly I sold a lot of games that I should have kept. I remember digging through hundreds of ps1 discs at a Gamestop the summer they stopped buying ps1 games for an hour or two just to find 3 spyro games. Snatched CB 2 & 3 from a friends house before he sold his ps1 collection. The disc of CB1 I have now is in pretty rough shape, but then again that's what you get when buying used months after the system dies out. And I used to have that game in perfect condition :/

lol I just remembered that I bought all black bar editions for FF8/9 and CB1 for a total of 10 bucks in a Gamecrazy bargain bin. Ah, gotta love when a system dies out. Now I'm buying used Xbox games like crazy (most all of them for under 10 bucks too, maybe a few are still in the 12-18 dollar range), even if I'm not going to touch them for months.
