If you're buying them make sure you get the Kollector's Edition of Mortal Kombat Deception which has the arcade version of MK1 as bonus and the Premium Edition of Mortal Kombat Armageddon which has the arcade version of UMK3 as bonus. After that ask our friend Shenske politely if he could make a cutsom cover for UMK3 and you'll have the full set of all MK's released for PS1 and 2 ;)

Nope, unfortunately these bonuses are not in the PAL versions. If you want the bonus games you have to get the US versions fo these games. Mortal Kombat 2 & 3 are also on the Midway Arcade Treasures Vol.2, you won't get a better version of MK3. It's real good. The only way to get the arcade version of UMK3 in Europe is on the Xbox 360 as a download from the marketplace.

is the bonus disc a separate disc that you know of?

if so i'll snatch that one up for sure

... or is it on the same disc and Deception and/or Armageddon?

The special editions of Deception and Armageddon each have a bonus disc. Mortal Kombat 1 is on Deception's bonus disc so I would suppose they put UMK3 on Armageddon's.

Hey Shenske, just curious if you've uploaded your MK covers to the site yet. I'm assuming they're completed (they look it from the previews), just hoping to see the download links up soon ;)

i'll up them over the weekend.
i just wanted to add them all together.

i'm still tweaking mk4 (ps1 and a gbc version) and altering my template to accomidate Mortal Kombat 1 & Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate for PS2.

Good job as always. There's not much point telling you every time you make a cover how good it is. :)

BIG TEMPLATE ANNOUNCEMENT
... or at least i think its big news.

I've noticed people on the site like both the PS2 design and the Vertical Style PS1 design for their PSX covers.

This design was started a about 6 months ago but the project seems to have died off.
Retail Pictures have surfaced of the rerelease of Metal Gear Solid using the vertical style by Sony/Konami.

Well i give in, my template now has both for your convenience, not trying to steal any thunder.
Both have complete Greatest Hits Versions aswell.

here are some previews shots

Horizantal
(the style i have been using)
(themed after the PS2)

Vertical
(newer style)
(themed after what sony is using on the rerelease of metal gear solid)

I will still be using the Horizantal "PS2" becasue i like things to match and 98% of the covers on the site seem to use it too.
Upon request i can reformat the covers i have made to use the Vertical style Template.

i will make the template public in a few days  ;D

;D AS ALWAYS TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK  ;D

Personally, I like the Vertical cover better.

And as for a request,
actually i need to port some covers i made (haven't revealed them yet) to ps1 on a certain extremely popular series i really don't even like.  ;)

(about 8 ish covers if that gives you any clues)

If you are still working on that, could you also do them with the vertical template, please?  If so, Thanks.  If not, no biggie.

Diablo

this also uses the recreated Ea games curve at the bottom

tell me what you think  :)

I personally like the vertical template better. It matches with the way the original PS1 games were made. But I also like the horizontal one.
