I was wondering what cases other people use to house NES games as I want to case and cover my small NES collection. The only thing is I do not want to molest any of my UGC's, are there any alternatives?

I use Double wide DVD cases, UGC covers work pretty much perfect with them.

Someone uses those poly cases that we use for CD games.

No modding needed, just remove the inner disc trays .

do you have a link to a double wide dvd case?

If yer european, Go to: http://www.rivierapublishing.co.uk/acatalog/8_Way_DVD_Case_Eco.html
I use the black ones.

There are also US and Australian sellers but I don'y have links to them.

maybe a pic of what they look like with a game in them?

Inner picture I no has, me thinks. I can take some tomorow.
Outer pictures in my topic: http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=2738.0
Games just sit loosely in them. For rattle freeness you can add piece of foam to squeese the game to stay in place.

Yes i'm Euro (England), I have been looking on that site without knowing what I wanted, some very reasonable prices I hope the postage cost matches, I'll order 25 now and see what happens. I'll see how bad the rattle is then decide, no idea where to pick up the foam for the inserts though... any ideas? I saw the insides on this thread http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/150712/retro-gaming-goodness-double-wide-dvd-boxes-make-perfect-reproduction-boxes (which ironically came from here to begin with lol)

Well the rattle doesn't really matter unless you are going to shake the cases...

I don't use foam.

Actually putting manual in the case is usually enough to stop the rattling.

12 Disc cases. But they have gone up in price, I should just conform and go with UGCs.

I'd much rather do a bit of modding than bother with the foam.

If you get Double-Wide Dvd cases with the stacker ring inside you can do some modding and there would be no rattle.

Of course it's easy for me with a Dremel which was a $100 investment, however, I use it for other things around the house as well.

Arseen i've found them much cheaper than that site sells them but I don't know if they will ship to Finland for you.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8-WAY-8-DISC-BLACK-DVD-CASE-FULL-SIZE-28MM-SPINE-X-50-/310383304372?pt=UK_Computing_Sound_Vision_Media_Cases_Storage&hash=item4844495eb4

They work out at 47p per unit if you buy 50 or just 40p per unit if you buy 100. Can't beat that with free UK delivery, I will be ordering 50 tonight even though I only need 20 odd just works out cheaper and I will have a stack of them for future use. If you need/want any and they won't ship directly to you let me know and I could help you out. If you want to buy any now pm me and we could strike a deal up (like buying 100 and I will pay for 30 or 40 and you can take the rest at cost plus postage to you). Let me know if you need any.

Keep in mind none of those have manual tabs, which I would consider one of the major selling points of DVD cases over UGCs.

Having not cased any NES games, I can tell you that I would go with the UGC option personally.  It seems the cheapest and more uniform route to go.  This is coming from a guy who doesn't mind putting a bunch of "time waste" into making covers and cases just how I want them.  You would never see the inside of the case when it's on display (which is the whole point of the case), so molesting seems like a non-issue in that regard.

This is the best UGC alternative I've found in the US so far. No need to cut and the covers available here fit pretty good.
CONS: More expensive route than UGC's.

It's easy to say you would prefer to use UGC's but in Europe it doesn't cost us next to nothing to get them. By the time we pay shipping and import fees and the cost of the cases they run out at more like $1.60 each not the 42c it looks like on the surface. As for manuals my nes games don't have any so that is no problem but even if I did have them I would just be slipping them behind the cover anyway like I do with snes manuals in UGC's. Oh and I don't want to be cutting UGC's up more because i'm lazy and can't be bothered to do it lol :)
