I am working on a review show, mostly informative in the vein of LGR but comparing different ports of games between pieces of hardware and giving my objective opinion. For example

Dune (MS-DOS Floppy/CD, Amiga 500, and Sega CD)
Doom (MS-DOS, SNES, 32x and Jag)
Resident Evil (PS1, Saturn, and PC)
Resident Evil (GCN, Wii)
..the ports of the Resi-sequels to Dreamcast and GCN...with some PC
Castlevania SOTN (PS1 and Saturn)
etc

and I would like to make a hitlist of games to do. Note stuff like Super Mario All-Stars is out. I want to focus on third party developers on different pieces of hardware. Does anyone have any suggestions?

one that i'm extremely interested in is Virtua Racer across Saturn, 32x, Genesis.

Battle Squadron Amiga/Genesis

Sensible Soccer Amiga/Genesis

Tony Hawk 1&2  PS1/Dreamcast

Tony Hawk 3&4 PS1/PS2/XBox

I support the Tony Hawk series for this project. I want to note that 1-3 were also released for the N64, and 3-4 were released for the GameCube.  My personal favorite is Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 for the PS2.  I played it to death at friends' houses.  I later got THPS4 but never got into it, I'll always love 3.  The soundtrack was just spot-on for the game, and the bonus characters and material were excellent.  Replayability through the roof.

Ben Paddon actually tried to do something similar with his show PortsCenter, though he has only released one episode so far.

As for suggestions, the first thing that comes to mind for me is the confusing timeline of Final Fantasy and its rereleases.

Final Fantasy is a good one to do. So many ports of those games, and most are on the GBA

To be honest, my picks for those would be

FF1-PSP
FF2-PSP
FF3-DS
FF4-PSP
FF5-GBA
FF6-GBA.

this is because of the features, the polish, and availability in my particular region.
