Once Imgur is up and running again I'm gonna try my hand at this mod

I could tuck something like that into the redesign and wouldn't have to bother plugging controllers in ever again!

The NES toaster is one of those things that actually NEEDS to be redesigned. It'll be fun to work on the one. It'll take a lot more R&D than the SNS-101 or even the MVS I think.  As great as the affordable retro players are, they're still far from perfect. I really think a re-case of the NES-001 could be the perfect compromise between super original hardware and modern, less contrived housing that doesn't interfere with the functionality of the system.

You guys should see my office space. All of a sudden I'm buying console lots left and right for this project. I just got 6 SNS-001 motherboards yesterday, a 2nd SNS-101 earlier in the week, and I'm watching at least a half dozen MVS lot and NES lot auctions right now.
CommunistGamer:
What i was meaning is a single case to hold the guts of 2 or 3 consoles from different regions
wiggy:
Well, the NTSC-J and U guts are exactly the same, so there's no reason to put 2 in one housing. If you want to play PAL on the NTSC unit, then a switch mod is gonna be the cleanest way to go. There's not much I could do that would tidy up 3 consoles lumped together. They all top-load, so I'd just be making a really long shell for 3 systems to side in side-by-side :-/
CommunistGamer:
Yeah, but my thought was simply that i hate when my brother turns my game off to play his. So 2 snes in one case, problem solved.
CommunistGamer:
Yes i know it is a stupid idea
