Physical originals of games or digital re-releases of games?

Staf:

With Nintendo's announcement of putting out 3DS and Wii U games in both retail and digital, I think I'll be going retail for each game. Not having to carry all the games with me would be nice, but I want the physical game. :(

Screw Physical copies of games! Digital all the way baby! WOOOOOO!!!!!

98% of my games are actual carts and discs, I do have 4 digital games though. Flower, Journey and Mega Man 9 & 10, all awesome.

Harp00nX:

Everyone should resist downloads, they are just a form of control. They get to turn servers off to make games redundant, they can determine when a game expires, they have no resale value (which is the main thing all companies want) and it puts people out of work in stores and distribution chains etc. Just say no!

Basically they wish to control distrobution and destroy used game sales by going digital. I have made the same argument with netflix, by going complete streaming/dd, you are allowing a big company to tell you what you are allowed and not allowed to watch/play. Which is why I hope physical copies stay around instead of forcing us to go all digital.

Hard Copies = freedom.

Netflix is different.  It's the same as a rental store.  Nothing on Netflix is exclusive to Netflix.  Hell, there's NOTHING on Netflix LOL!
