The more modern games I play, the more true this video is. Don't know if any of you guys have seen it, but for those of you who havnt you should check it out. its a really entertaining explanation of how we are spoon fed how to play games these days and how genius some of the older games were able to make us learn ourselves as players.

just thought id share ;D

It won't load on my phone right now for some reason, but I'm pretty sure I know exactly what video it is. I saw it on dorkly a few months back. I've always known that I hate the spoon feeding in new games, but I never put much thought into how awesome some older games were about teaching you as you play. This video made me appreciate MMX and some of my other SNES favorites all that much more ;D

Also, it's fucking funny as hell LOL!

"megaman megaman megaman!!!" :P
Forte:
I hate when these youtube kids are profane for the sake of being profane. "shit this, fucking that, blah blah blah omg its the internet i can say whatever i want"...very offputting. However, he's spot on about how annoying "Roll" *coughcoughAliacough* is telling you things you should be able to figure out on your own. They don't make games quite like they used to back then.
TyrannicalFascist:
Yeah I found this pretty amusing and very true. Modern games don't assume that people are intelligent. Granted, the controls are much more complicated that "jump n shoot", but there can be clever ways to introduce controls.

And I totally agree with you Forte. I'm getting really sick of profanity just for the sake of being profane. Over the last few months, the Nostalgia Critic has lost absolutely all appeal to me, especially after his Let's Play pretty much showed how he operates - overreact to everything by suddenly shouting and cursing. That, and he's gotten so many basic facts wrong on his reviews that I can't take anything he says for any kind of value anymore. It's not even funny anymore. And in a recent review he went on a rant basically saying he knew what was funny and what wasn't. And also the ads...

But I digress. I like the AVGN mostly for the look at old systems and games, not for his random spewing of profanity, not unlike this video.
