New Mario Games 8/1/12

Is everyone aware there are TWO new Mario games coming to the 3DS on August 1st?!  Paper Mario and New Super Mario Bros 2 will both be released on 8/1/2012.  I didn't even know Nintendo was working on a sequel to New SMB.

Those are temporary dates. If you would believe the dates Animal Crossing is coming out on the same day too. There are so few major 3DS games there is no way Nintendo is going to pile them all up on the same day in the middle of the summer.

Both were listed as the release dates on Gamestop.com....  I just checked and now both have been removed

Those are just temporary dates. If it ever says the 1st, 2nd, 30th or 31st be skeptical. Most of the dates for handheld releases are pretty far off.  Games do in fact come out on those days but if its not a tuesday or sunday then it would be safe to assume its a place holder.

Nintendo has a habit of releasing things whenever they damn well please.  NEVER go by a release date advertised on a website for a Nintendo title.   Like others said, when you see it on the shelf, then that's the release date

I'm excited about a new NSMB game, though I'll be even more excited when New Super Mario Bros. Mii comes out. My friends and I have had many great times playing NSMB Wii, working together, fighting over power ups, coordinating who should stay bubbled to save a power up for later, stealing afriend's power up only to get impaled by a giant spike. Good times...
