Got a surprise when I got  home today. My repro carts had arrived.

Check em out

[pictures]

I'd be more interested in pics of the inside if you wouldn't mind disassembling your brand new toys. How do the boards look?

a lot like this but with chips on them

One thing is.  If you have a North America ugly duck Snes. The cart casing is just a tad smaller , So it takes a little getting used to, plugging the cart in.  I also had to cut some plastic out of the UGC case, for a more snug fit. Oh and thanks Peach Waffles for the Star Ocean and Tales of Phantasia art.

My Mr. Gimmick cart looks great and plays great, However I Spent a couple hours last night getting my butt kicked by Mr. Gimmick.  The art style reminds you of kirby , but the level of difficulty is insane.

you mean the big snes or the little one? (ie one with eject button or one without?)

Ive yet to order a snes game from him. Considering the campus challenge though.

I guess if that bugged you.  You could always replace the shell with a standard gray one.

I saw that's while back and was super teh jealous of you as well. I only posted in this thread because of the cart shape issue.

At some point I'll plop down the money for some of these, but not anytime really soon :(

I'm actually more interested in the SNES boards, which they don't offer separately (yet?). Also, the chips are an important feature.

I've been thinking about picking up a few NES games from RetroZone. How's the quality and how's the wait time from purchase to delivery?

usually takes about a week. I had one experience with him where it took 2.... but basically he had a family emergency the day before I ordered. He updates his twitter, so I knew hed be gone a week... then my stuff came in like 5 days.

currently ordered Super Mario 2 Japanese version (aka lost levels) and VS. Super Mario Brothers. Previously ordered Battle Kid and Nintendo World Championships 1990. The previous games worked fine. Cant complain. They work in My Nes, My toploader Nes and My Generation Nex.

SMB2J and VS SMB are actually the games I'm thinking about getting. I'm curious to see how they turn out when you get them.

just got them in today. SMBJ2 came in a black sleeve with the retrozone logo. It plays in nes and my nes toploader.... and my generation nex. VS SMB is the same, but its in a clear sleeve with said logo. Also in a clear cart. plays on all three as well. (though it is a bit harder to slide into the generation nex)

very good quality.

Me too.  I wonder how hard it actually is.  I can solder with the best of them, I just don't know what other hardware is required.

Just for the sake of it, it uses the exact same hardware.
