Well I had a pretty epic Sega birthday yesterday, and I got a Sega CD (model 2), Sega 32X and a Sega Saturn (model 1). So what are some of the stand-out titles for these systems? I like platformers, some space shooters, fighting games, and I'm open to just about anything. I'll be getting them all loose too.

There's a few I've got or I'm already planning to get - Sonic CD, Knuckles Chaotix, Ecco 1 & 2 CD, Kolibri, Flink, Soulstar, Sonic R, Nights into Dreams, Space Harrier, Rayman and pretty much all the Capcom fighting games on Saturn. I'll be tracking down an Action Replay 4MB Plus so I can play import games on Saturn. I'm also probably going to track down at least one of the CD 32X games just so I can say I have one. :P

And it's you guys' fault I got these...first the Virtual Boy, now 3 Sega systems...  8)

Sonic CD was just about the only game I ever cared for on the Sega CD lol. As far as 32x the games you planned to get are solid, they didnt make very many games for the 32x at all

The clockwork knight games on the saturn are solid platformers.

Soundwave's sega recommendations are........
(Excluding the ones you mentioned)

32X:
-Tempo
-Virtua Racing
-Star Wars Arcade
-Metal Head
-Shadow Squadron
(you coud get the 32X versions of Space Harrier and After Burner, but I would say get them on the Sega Ages Collection for the Saturn. They are both arcade perfect plus it comes with Outrun. Either that or you can import the individual discs from japan)

Sega CD:
-Batman Returns
-Silpheed
-Robo Aleste
-Android Assault
-Terminator
-Shining Force CD
-Popful Mail
-Lunar Silver Star Story
-Lunar 2 Eternal Blue
-Vay
-Sol-Feace
-Final Fight CD
-Cadillacs and Dinosaurs ;D

Saturn:
-Clockwork Knight 1 & 2
-Bug! 1 & 2
-Astal
-Bust-A-Move 2 & 3(fantastic arcade ports)
-Street Fighter Alpha 1 & 2
-Marvel Super Heroes
-Vampire Savior(import)
-Daytona USA
-Virua Fighter 1 & 2
-Virtua Cop 1 & 2
-Golden Axe: The Duel
-Panzer Dragoon 1, 2 & Saga(good luck with this one)
-Guardian Heroes
-Iron Storm
-Saturn Bomberman
-Earthworm Jim 2
-Shining Wisdom
-Albert Odyssey
-Magic Knight Rayearth
-Dragon Force
-Burning Rangers
-I would also say pick up Sonic Jam if you can find it for a decent price. Awesome if your a sonic fan.

Some of them might be a bit hard or expensive to get a hold of, but hey, that comes with the territory of owning these fine systems.

Great suggestions guys. I've been watching a lot of Classic Game Room lately and expanding my list, so I've already added several of the ones on your list, soundwave, before you posted it.  :) There's a lot more cool games for these systems than I thought! (though I've always heard the Saturn is underrated)

Thanks for also letting me know which versions are best. I do eventually plan to get a Dreamcast, so if there are any that have preferred versions on DC, let me know.

Sound wave,  you've listed virtua racer for 32x rather than Saturn.  Is the 32x version better?

i've always loved virtua racer - but don't have a 32x (got the saturn and megadrive versions).

32x has always been on my list of purchases, but if VR is best on that, it might move up the list.  I'll check some youtube reviews if nobody can give me a 1st hand comparison on here.

if you can find a 4 in 1 converter cart to play imports and increase the ram id say import all capcom fighters on the saturn , they are damn near arcade perfect .

whole reason i got one was for  import fighters .

Marvel Super Hero’s
Marvel Super Hero’s vs Street fighter
Pocket fighter
Vampire Hunter (Darkstalkers 2)
Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers 3)
X-Men Children of the Atom
X-Men Vs Streetfighter

also have Amakusa's Revenge, forget which version of samurar showdown that was
