If you like party games the Mario & Sonic games are decent - my personal favorite and recommendation is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games. I've also had fun with Wii Party and Wii Play: Motion (comes with Wii Motion Plus controller). And Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing is actually a pretty decent kart racer up there with Mario Kart. It's also on 360 and PS3, but the Wii version controls like Mario Kart Wii and has an exclusive Mii racer.
Having the same control scheme as Mario Kart Wii is hardly an advantage... I hated that stupid wheel so much.

You can use a gamecube/classic controller with it instead right?

Yeah it supports classic controller, not sure about Gamecube. I gotta disagree on the controls though, I enjoy the Wii wheel a lot more than the standard controller. But to each his own I guess. Still a great game either way and worth picking up.

Mario Party 9

Is Mario Party 9 actually very good?  Mario Party 7 and 8 were disappointing in my opinion.  I just recently busted out my N64 and bought Mario Party 2 for when I'm feeling in that mood.  The series seems to have strayed too far from what made it good.

I agree, the Wii Wheel was aggravating to use, but I use the Wii 'Mote/Nunchuck combination, so again, to each his own. I'm almost certain you can use the Gamecube, though I'm not sure about the Classic Controller.

Mario Party 9 has a new system added to it to help prevent that desire to kill your friends. Fewer star stealing, and much more star collecting (because you're collecting "mini stars" this time). There's a good number of platforming minigames, which I like, but those platform games tend to be coop games, which means you better hope the other person who you get stuck with knows how to game. Admittedly though, I don't follow Mario Party too closely, and didn't play 7 or 8.

In terms of recommended games, I don't think I have anything that wasn't already stated, except Crossbow Training. It's short as hell, I admit, but it's a lot of fun. Unfortunately, it makes you wish they fleshed it out more.

Red Steel 2 was fun too, and has absolutely nothing to do with part 1, so you don't have to play that, (RS1 was subpar, but not horrible. The shooting was good). It's a good rental at least.

I would if the nearest rental shop wasn't an hour away.

Gamefly  8) I usually use them to rent and buy.
If your patient and time it right you can get good newer games from them cheap.

Im getting FFXIII-2 for both PS3 and 360 from them USED but in great condition for less than $40 for the both of them shipped to my house.

When I get paid this Friday I'm going to click the "Keep It" button for Batman Arkham City and add it to the collection.

I got FFXIII-2 new from ebay about a month after the release for about $40 for the 360 so that's a nice deal you got there.  Might I ask why you would get the game for both systems?  Are they both for you?

Most definitely Donkey Kong Country Returns and Mario Galaxy 2. Metroid: Other M isn't a great game, but it's interesting and looks nice so if you see it for real cheap it could be cool.

Both are for me.....this IS a collecting community.....besides...if one system shits the bed and i want to play it i still can.

Oh, and Scar...sorry....basically just look for the console exclusives with good reviews....other than that..I kinda feel like the Wii is for little kids and old people.
