Welcome.

Share your covers on the forums.  All covers must be up to very strict standards before they can be officially hosted on the site.  If they don't meet the standards, at least they will be out in the forums for others to find and use.

***Edit***
This might be a good place to share the PC covers (assuming they are DVD style, which seems likely).

Thanks for the help. Just a last quick question.

Is 300+ DPI always mandatory?
I'm asking as I have some very good covers at 96 DPI, and some 300 DPI covers that will be quickly rejected here.

I don't believe that anything under 300 DPI will be accepted on the site, but that doesn't mean you can't share it in the forums.  There are some people who find 96 acceptable, if there is nothing else available.  Personally, I prefer having a bad cover over no cover at all.  I'm ok with using place holders until something better comes along.

But to save the admins time and effort, don't submit to the database until you've received some feedback in the forums.

    • My Gaming Blog
Hello from Italy!
I play videogames since I have memories, I started with a Zx Spectrum, then moved to a Sega Master System, and since then, never stopped... I love videogames in all their aspects, both modern and retro.
Sadly I lost all of my childhood games and consolles, and during an hard time I had to sell some rare games I got during my youth.
Recently I decided to start game hunting to improve my collection and try to "get back" what I lost. I love to have all my game boxed, and since I'm not one of those "too much picky collectors" I love your site. i dropped in the forum and it look like is a great community, so yeah, here I am, I wish to have fun and to find some new, great, friends.
Bye!

So I joined a while back and uploaded some scans that the database did not have back in december. I still have not seen them posted nor the database updated since mid last year (360 section) any news on wether that is being updated and the uploads being processed and added or what the status of that is? I have a few more I would love to upload that the site database does not have but not going to spend my time scanning them if they won't be added to the collection for people to download. Thanks!

Were they cleaned/perfect, or raw scans?

They were very good scans and pretty well cleaned up. I mean not 100% perfect. Here is one I uploaded

If anything that one has minor damage. The other two had zero damage to clean up.

The picture shown above I would classify as a RAW scan. There are quickly visible small tears and sticker residue.
It is a usable RAW and with additional cleaning it could eventually end up on the site.

It can not be uploaded to the main site's database in its current condition.

Correct so after uploading how long does it take to go through the process to be cleaned up and added to the site?

RAW's can be posted in the forums if they require additional work. If a member is kind enough to clean and restore the image it can be submitted to be uploaded. From there it can take anywhere from a few days to a month depending on how many uploads we have to sift through (~95% of what is submitted to be uploaded is not suitable to be added to the site, like the one above, so it takes a long time to find the good ones).

Wow has it been a few years! I used to be argobeat but the username doesn't exist anymore. no big deal  :) fresh start!
Contributed a bit a few years back, few covers here and there (mostly collabbed with irvgotti452 on a Japanese Sega Saturn DVD template, props to that guy) - then life came up and well here we are with some time on our hands.

Would love to jump back into the community, maybe not full force at first - but I've been playing with some covers  ;D

Great seeing some of the guys from a few years ago still here keeping this thing alive!

So. What did I miss?  ;D

Hello Everybody!  I just signed up here for this forum but I am a long time fan and I feel like I already know a lot of you.  I've got a fairly large collection that I've been building up since I got my first NES in 1989.  I look forward to hopefully contributing to the community and befriending many of you.

Now just a brief warning: I can be satirical and what I think is funny may not always come across that way in my post.  I apologize in advance if sometimes I seem overly jerky or mean.
