Hey. Name's Vincent. I stumbled upon TCP and was immediately addicted. I was lead here through a serious of recent events.

I started buying custom cases on Ebay after my friends started collecting retro games. The seller I purchased a few cases from used thin, cheap quality paper (you could see through it). At that time, I decided I could this myself. I found TCP through Google and decided to have a go at printing some covers for my own collection. After a success in printing a high quality cover for my Mega Max X case, I decided to make an inner sleeve with a version of the Rock Man X cover by Jigsaw. But, I took it a step further and tried to incorporate more of the retail SFC release in Japan... specifically the teal color of the box. I've linked it for critique... and for fun.

I appreciate everyone creating this awesome resource and hope to be a part of it.  ;D

Hi everyone!

I've been a longtime gamer and found this site as a way to properly display my games.  I love the scans of the Atari 2600 games as I no longer have the boxes.  I've had no luck however finding cases for these games to use these scans with however.  Lots of Nintendo cases out there but the only cases I can find for the 2600 are ones that already have artwork and sell for $9 each.  I've done a lot of searching here looking for it and just had no luck.
Anyone have a resource I haven't found yet?

Thanks!

Are you talking about blank Universal Game Cases?

As long as you are in the states, I would get them here.

Yeah, all of my Atari 2600 carts are in Universal Game cases.  Keep in mind that it won't be a tight fit.  They are "universal" and therefore, don't really hold any type of game very well.  With that said, I doubt there will be a true Atari 2600 case within the near future, so this is our best bet for now.  Atari 7800 games should also fit just fine, but if you have any Atari 5200 games, the case will require modification (removing of tabs) for the game to fit.  Nothing difficult, just a little tedious.

Here's my collection (it's a little out of date, I have a lot more now).

I recreate a more retail look for my 2600 games, by making inserts to go into box protectors from http://www.videogameboxprotectors.com

The cart is lose in there, but I plan to either make up a cardboard holder, or cut a polystyrene/foam cart holder.....eventually.

Need to take a new picture.

;D (browser almost took a whacking dump, gonna have to block images on threads, unless they come accompanied with a [/collapse] tag?!)  ???
well ladies, getting around, like the RAT i am...
i have absolutely NO idea on how to get a good scan using anything remotely related to HP deskjet printers, but i do as one must, busy busy! (and no, i don't have access to photography grade optics or scanners, or even those tree trunks in shops. talking several G's just to take a shot at the title.)
this place has been my primary source of 300dpi scans, and it's ALL down to YOU guys.
thanks a lot, and PLEASE keep it up.
...
interests are provincial.
plain gaming in solitude, and sharing my retails when time permits, a 'reverse pirate' with a maxim: 1/1 quality, or GTFO!
again, much appreciated what you do here, and every scan i packed with my archives, are FAR superior to the dreck my scanner was barfing up...at no less than 600dpi a pop. (epson studio grade industrial photocopier is a wishful thought.)  ;D

Hi All,

Just joined after months of looking around.
Living in Australia its been a battle to get the UGC's over the pond from the USA, finally I have scored myself my first lot of 100, I look to put my SNES, NES and N64 games in these (in total I have 238 I need to get in cases!).

I have a mountain of Genesis, Sega Saturn, Xbox, Xbox 360 genuine covers in my collection, if you're after something please let me know.

I'd like to say thank you to all of those who put the time and effort in!

I suppose it's time for me to introduce myself. Hi, I'm Joshua. ;D

I'm certain I had an account here years ago, but I have no idea what the name was. I made a few covers back then. They were mostly custom covers for DVD cased games (I specifically recall making a case for Threads of Fate). I've been following the site for years and periodically use it to print cases for games I buy used without a case (usually Nintendo DS games).

I've been wanting to case my entire collection for years, but I'm not particularly good at printing and cutting covers. I also have limited funds (and in that regard, I'm somewhat glad that my collection is relatively small). I stumbled upon Shadowfox's website and cases a while ago and it finally pushed me to get started. I've been corresponding with him via email a bit, and I'm very excited about the new cases.

I decided to settle down and make myself a real part of the community to keep tabs on everything going on with the new cases, and to get some help putting together cases for some of my obscure games. Hopefully I can figure out how to scan covers correctly and contribute to the project as a whole as well. My collection is small as I primarily collect select games (or series of games). However, I tend to be drawn to obscure games or games with "cult followings"...also Zelda, lots and lots and lots of Zelda.

Did I mention that I love Zelda?

Hi, I'm Adrian.
I'm turning 16 this month, and though I grew up in the 2000's, I was lucky enough to grow up with a Sega Genesis model 1. I played Sonic 2 all my childhood, along with other games like Road Rash 2, X-Men, TAZ: Escape From Mars, NFL '94, Madden '96, Risk, etc...
Throughout the past year or so, I've looked into the best ways to play Genesis/Mega Drive games, what the best setups and mods are, how to do everything and all that, and I've discovered that I like the Japanese Mega Drive branding a lot more than the US Genesis. I plan on creating a collection of JP Mega Drive games with a JP Mega Drive and Mega-CD. Then I come to the reason I'm at the cover project. There are several games that were US/EU exclusive and never had a Japanese release. This creates problems for the consistency of my collection. I've come here for sources to make custom JP covers and cart labels for those games. This is a great community and it's a very helpful site.
