Hi I´m Øyvind, live in Norway and I´m currently 19 and diagnosed with Asperger. I enjoy mostly playing video games but when not i´m usually haning out with my friends. I know Photoshop to a certain degree and i´m familiar with high quality restrictions so I can see if I can help out with some covers. I discovered this site when I came across a youtube video explaining that ds cases could be used to case up gba games and linked this site.

Hey guys, my name is Jess. I'm 21, living in Washington state. I actually didn't get much into gaming until I got an original Xbox for christmas one year, along with Knights of the Old Republic. I had played the PS2 and N64 at friends and counsins houses, but from then on I was hooked. I've been collecting ever since. I wanted to spruce up my collection, so that's where I found you guys! Looking forward to all to come. :)

Welcome to the cover project shriege/Øyvind.  You share a common thing with my daughter, she too has been diagnosed with Asperger.  I look forward to seeing some of the covers that you make.

Ok then...

Finally decided to formally create my account, but I've been lurking here for a while.

My name is Rolando, I usually go by IkeMessiah on other places (like devianArt) but since Rolando it's not a very common name I use Rolando84 as my online alias most the time. I'm from Nicaragua (Central America, small country). 30 years old, turning 31 on June. I'm an Architecth, Interior Designer, and Graphic Designer at heart. I can say I fell in love with Photoshop ever since version 4 or 5, can't remember, and then Illustrator. I've been playing videogames ever since I was 5 or 6. First console was a NES, but first game I ever played was Final Fantasy. My NES came with the usual Mario Bros/Duck Hunt combo. Since then I've been with Nintendo my whole life, but back in the day I couldn't afford much of the games or consoles. I would usually get like a N64 on 2000 or a SNES on 1995 when their current gen was almost over. Until a couple of years where business was going great and I was able to start getting back all those games that I usually played borrowed or (sadly) emulated.

So now I've been kinda collecting back all NES, SNES, GB, DS etc... games from my past, and getting some new games in the way too! Thing is here in Nicaragua you don't usually get very good quality games, in the sense that when looking for a used game they're usually looking like crap. I've found games with no internal batteries, leaks, no covers, dirty, etc... And some of the rarer games are even hard to come by on these days (things like Wild Guns and MMX3 and the likes) especially here. That's when I decided to learn the arts of restoration. So I went online, got me a couple of bit drives, cell batteries, watched some tutorials and eventually restored all my games (old and new/used) to great condition. At lesat they're playable now! My old non-working Pokémon Blue was finally able to save after I found out it's battery wasn't dry, but fell off likely since I probably dropped the game. I remember speed running the game just to get to Mewtwo (and other important pokés) and trasferring them to either a Yellow, Silver and then to Stadium.

Anyways, that led me to label restoration, custom designs and reproduction designs as well (as part as the restoration process), and that's how I ended up here while looking for resources and I've been in love with TCP and what it stands for ever since! I've also been into the modding scene quite recently as well thanks to this.

So, basically, I hope I can contribute with many covers and labels. I restore labels and boxes as a hobby now and since I am currently unemployed (hope to get something soon!) I have a lot of free time now to work on pending projects. I hope we can all get along and if you need any help with PS, AI or well, anything I can help, just let me know!

*insert obligatory apology for crappy English since is not native language here*

Thanks! :)

Hello, My name is Antwon. Lurking for some time but decided to join the forums. I really don't have any artistic abilities but I will try to contribute when I can with art scans when I come across something the site does not have.

Hey everyone.

Just joined to search for some covers I'm missing for some games from my collection.  I have 50 games in my retro collection that all have UGC boxes and art in them and they all look amazing.  Thanks a ton to the people who work super hard making these covers look great!

Ahoy!!

My name is Jeremy! I have been lurking around in the forums and on this site for several years.  I just recently decided to start posting because this community seems like an awesome one.  Anywho, I'm a 28 year old dude who has recently been stricken with the fever to collect way more games than I have time to play.

Currently, I have a complete US release library of N64 and original Xbox games.  I have been collecting Gameboy and Gameboy Color games since the retro stores in my area have a lot of them and sell them for dirt cheap. I have 600 titles so far for the GB/GBC.

My grand plan with my collection seems crazy but I would love to have every U.S. release of the Nintendo, Playstation and Xbox consoles.  So I have a lot of work to do before I'm done collecting :).

I love this site and have recently started using photoshop so I can hopefully help out in making cases. At very least I can help with contributing raw ps1 scans :)

I guess I'll introduce myself. I'm Corey and I'm 19 from the USA. Found this website while searching for covers for some games I got from a bargain bin last weekend.

When it comes to video games, I'll play just about anything I can get my hands on for a decent price. But my favorite game franchise is Metal Gear, which has consumed a large percentage of my life ever since I first played it when I was 12. Other favorite games include TimeSplitters, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, The Last of Us, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Deadly Premonition, Uncharted, and the list can go on and on...

Consoles I own are the Nintendo 64, PlayStation 2, GameCube, Wii, and PlayStation 3. I had an original Xbox, but my brother took it with him when he moved out (since it was technically his anyway). I'd like to own many more consoles in the future, but probably not soon since I'm in college and I'll have student loans to pay back in a few years, but the next console on my list is the Dreamcast, unless I'm magically in a position where I can afford a PlayStation 4 (that Arkham Knight, yo).

I'm also a big film buff, and just like I am with video games, I'll watch anything and everything. Whether it be Blade Runner or The Room, silent or talkie, black & white or color, I'll watch it. Some favorites include Star Wars (Original Trilogy), Indiana Jones, James Bond, Blade Runner, RoboCop (1987), Citizen Kane, Airplane!, Mad Max, The Toxic Avenger, and many, many more.

As for TV, I'm not as big on, but some shows I enjoy are Breaking Bad, Doctor Who, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Happy Days, MacGyver, The A-Team, and Impractical Jokers.

I guess I should shut up now. See you around.

Hello,

Hello, my name is Kyle and I am new to this forum.
I have found the postings great fun to read and the help the people in the forums give each other is wonderful.  I have been collecting games since I first started playing them with my dad (Atari 2600).  Right before I moved out of my parents house after my Senior Year in High School their house was broken into and I lost my entire collection except for Atari 2600 because I had it boxed up in the closet and the robbers only made it through the collection I had on display which was about 300 games between NES, SNES, N64, and PS1.  I have vowed since that day (15 years ago) to rebuild my collection.  I have gotten most of my N64 collection back.  I have all of my SNES (and some :) ) but am still working on PS1.  I am close though.  I still have my whole Atari 2600 at least.  I also purchased a PS2 when I moved out of my parents house and still have it.  I continue to collect video games and am happy as I now have my 5 year old playing NES and Genesis now.  He loves Mario and Sonic especially.  I have since moved into XBOX360.

I collect for myself, my family, and friends but not for the money.  For me the fun of game collecting is playing them not just looking at them on a shelf.

Now that I have effectively bored everyone, thank you for your time.  I look forward to more and more from this site.  Hopefully when I get my new scanner (next week) I can help with raw scans as well.
