Introduction Thread

Yikes! What a tragic introduction! I'm sadden to hear how you came to us. However, I hope I speak for all of us but we are glad you're here. My story isn't as tragic as yours but I started the cover project after my home had been burglarized. Years worth of games had been stolen and I had to start all over. The cover project has a great community. Welcome!

I only have to say welcome and you'll see that this is a great community with a lot of helpfull and friendly people ;D

Figured I should post in here. I've been a follower of The Project for many years, but have never really paid much attention to the forums (sorry!). I've been collecting consoles since I was a kid and got into arcade collecting around 2003. Anyone from the KLOV, NeoGeo, CAG, or a few other random forums might recognize me. Now that I have a house, I'm trying to scale down my cartridge collection to only those that I really care about having and in the process, getting nice cases for them and of course printing nifty covers as well. The main point of the 'scale down' is to make room for other things in the game room ;)
I have a bunch of NES and SNES BitBoxes coming this week, so once I have those all ready to go, I'll probably post a picture thread, though it won't be as impressive as most here. Give me time, though, and I'll catch up ;)

Welcome, Mattroid! If you're looking to case your GB games, there are 2 great new options so you don't have to hack up DS cases anymore.
I believe StoneAgeGamer will be releasing GB BitBoxes soon (their deluxe EverDrive-GB will start coming with this kind of case), and their N64 cases should follow this fall.
Also ShadowFox of CustomGameCases.com has recently created some very versatile cases that can hold GB, GBC and GBA and line up perfectly with DS. He also has plans for Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Game Gear and a lot more down the road.
ShadowFox is working on NES cases next, and I believe member SeymoreOnion was also making a variety of cases, but I'm not sure what the latest is there.

Thanks for the welcome, TyrannicalFascist! I'll probably be picking up the GB BitBoxes when they come in. I need to go through my GB collection and see what's staying and what's going and how many cases I'll needed. What I'd really like to see if someone repro the NGPC clam shell cases, but that's a pretty niche market. I haven't decided if I want to use those same BitBoxes for my GBA carts or if I'd rather just use DS cases instead. DS cases will likely take up less room, so I'm probably leaning that way, and I already have a bunch of spares.
