Ello to everyone! Name's George and I'm ThoseWeirdGames. Why? Cuz I like oddities, though oddities that at least hold some inherit value, rather than simply beng notable for having something weird about them. Primarily this reflects my current searches for games on the Gameboy and N64 consoles, which I consider to have a plethora of said games. Thus, they are "Those Weird Games". I live over in Massachusett's, South of Boston around the Foxboro area.
Grew up with the N64 as my first console in a house that, even into the 2000s, regularly used VHSs. We've got a very strange mixed pile of such. I would hesitate to say "collection", though one might consider it such. I've actually not really started my collection of yet, but primarily I'm searching for Nintendo things from N64 onwards. N64 primarily because I'd like to play the games that I missed out on; knowing that the emulators out there aren't very good. And since I realized I have the capacity to play PS1, PS2, Gamecube, Wii, Gameboy, GBC, GBA, DS, and 3DS games, I decided I might as well seek out the games worthwhile for those systems!
Though relatively new through 'collecting', I've always had problems with game storage. Primarily it's with my portable games, as I have basically no means except organization to keep them from disappearing. I unfortunately sold most of my better (and now valuable) games since my interests were devoted to other areas at the time. Now though, I want them back and so much more! This place is not only stirring and artistic interest in me, but putting efforts towards aesthetics in general, which are skills I usually lack. Though physical media is a bit "blah" to me as a possession in and of itself, I'd like to use the opportunity of game storage to showcase some artistic cred as well as remind people of video games as a medium. I thought I'd be all right with just drawer-ing my games, by now that I've come across this place, seconds thoughts have arisen!
