RetroHanson:

Hello been reading these forumns for a while since i got back into collecting last year.

I am Retro Hanson from Tazewell Virginia and I am 34 years old.  I grew up on Atari NES SNES etc.  Thought It would be neat to pop on and say hi and maybe post some pick ups.  I don't have internet at home so i read on here alot at work.  So just saying Howdy !
P.s   I am not very fluent with internet.

ThoseWeirdGames:

Ello to everyone! Name's George and I'm ThoseWeirdGames. Why? Cuz I like oddities, though oddities that at least hold some inherit value, rather than simply beng notable for having something weird about them. Primarily this reflects my current searches for games on the Gameboy and N64 consoles, which I consider to have a plethora of said games. Thus, they are "Those Weird Games". I live over in Massachusett's, South of Boston around the Foxboro area.

Grew up with the N64 as my first console in a house that, even into the 2000s, regularly used VHSs. We've got a very strange mixed pile of such. I would hesitate to say "collection", though one might consider it such. I've actually not really started my collection of yet, but primarily I'm searching for Nintendo things from N64 onwards. N64 primarily because I'd like to play the games that I missed out on; knowing that the emulators out there aren't very good. And since I realized I have the capacity to play PS1, PS2, Gamecube, Wii, Gameboy, GBC, GBA, DS, and 3DS games, I decided I might as well seek out the games worthwhile for those systems!

Though relatively new through 'collecting', I've always had problems with game storage. Primarily it's with my portable games, as I have basically no means except organization to keep them from disappearing. I unfortunately sold most of my better (and now valuable) games since my interests were devoted to other areas at the time. Now though, I want them back and so much more! This place is not only stirring and artistic interest in me, but putting efforts towards aesthetics in general, which are skills I usually lack. Though physical media is a bit "blah" to me as a possession in and of itself, I'd like to use the opportunity of game storage to showcase some artistic cred as well as remind people of video games as a medium. I thought I'd be all right with just drawer-ing my games, by now that I've come across this place, seconds thoughts have arisen!

Desolis:

Hello everyone, happened upon the site a couple of weeks ago from a link in a YouTube video. I've never really been an active participant in a forum community, but if I can make it work, I believe this is where I'd like to do it.  ;D

Name: Chris
Age: 31
Location: Spokane, Washington

My story isn't really too unique. A fated Christmas NES as a young child of four. Games have saturated my life to this day. I'm currently finishing up my junior year pursuing a bachelors degree in Computer Science. (3 days to summer vacation hooray!!) I'm married to a wonderful wife who is as much a gamer as I am, and am a proud father to our 6 year old daughter.

I have a modest collection that I've built up over the last 15 years or so, ranging from Atari 2600 up to the current generation of consoles. I just got my first batch of UGC's today and finished my first set of 20 prints for my newly boxed Snes games! They look fantastic!

JonRadical:

Hello everyone I’m Jonathan. I found this site when I went to a local game shop and saw (what I soon found out to be) UGC’s with custom printed covers for Nintendo 64 games. I thought it was a great idea and decided to look into doing that myself. After a bit of googling I found myself on Shadowfox’s website and then shortly thereafter stumbled upon TheCoverProject. I’ve only recently started collecting, focusing mainly on the N64, SNES and NES, acquiring back all of the games I had growing up and building the collection from there.

The NES is a couple years older than I am so some of my earliest memories are watching my older brothers play The Legend of Zelda on the NES (I could beat the first dungeon but that was about as far as I could get.) Also who can forget that scene in 3 Ninjas when Tum Tum is playing Super Mario Bros. 3?

I made an account because I love the community. I find myself on here multiple times a day just to read up on what people have been picking up or to just look at the artwork. I hope to someday contribute to the cause but I need a little more practice with photoshop first. Until then without post-spamming I’m going to do my best to be an active member of the forums and community.

Dr.Agon:

hey!
welcome aboard everyone!, (not sure if I'm the right person to be welcoming new members, but hey...)

don't worry about collection sizes, everyone has to start somewhere (i remember when my collection only took up half a shelf!)

also, don't go out of your way to contribute, ( buying CIB games for the sole purpose of scanning is Arseens job!  ;D ), just be nice, post occasionally, and if you happen to come into possession of a boxed copy of a game, post the scans (that's what I'm doing)
