Got it.  Yeah, Checkered Flag for the Jaguar seems to be a holdout for some reason.  Sadly, I have nothing to contribute for raw scans, but I'll keep my eyes peeled.  Thanks!

Hello everyone! I'm new to this whole thing, and I'm just enjoying the wonderful scans and creative customs you guys have been putting out for the past few years! You've given new life to my NES, SNES, and Atari collections. It's funny how my kids (and I) appreciate those games so much more with awesome artwork and cases!

The coolest part for me is just that moment when I close the UGC with the freshly printed insert for the first time -- it's like magic. Okay! I won't bother you guys any more; I just wanted to express how delighted I am to have found this amazing resource! Oh, and I love the forums, too! Keep up the amazing work!

Yo, long time listener, first time caller.
I've been downloading your covers for awhile now, not to use as I dont own any UGC, but to read the back and see the art and whatnot.
I have however created a number of custom covers not only for UGC's, but also cassette cases, and CD jewel cases. the latter of the three I do own
Basically I like to play around in Photoshop.
Eventually when I'm able to save up more than $20 and not spend it on games, I'll pick up some UGC's and put all my stuff away in them, but until then, I'll stick with just playing around. Expect to see a lot of raw scans, custom covers, and maybe a few templates put up on the forums, but not a lot of discussion.
I'm mainly just here to make sure this place continues to get its doctor prescribed allowance of fresh material.
Oh, and most of my stuff isn't quite standard format, so a majority of my material will be stuck on my box page. (https://app.box.com/s/2lx75sfjdpud65lnytuh)
Any raw scan's I get I'll make sure to toss your way though.

Hey guys,

I'm Dave and I've basically been browsing thecoverproject daily for 2 years now and just decided to finally join. (Don't worry I don't have any requests).  I want to say that I love all of the hard work going into this project and I hope you guys continue.

A little bit about myself, I'm 30 and live in Ontario, Canada.  I live with my girlfriend of 6 years and I have an honours degree in Business Commerce.  I've been playing games since I was about 4 or 5 and have basically stuck with those consoles ever since.  I don't have the time that I used to for playing games so I guess I have sort of changed over to a collector instead of a gamer.  The only consoles that I am collecting for are the NES, SNES and the N64.  That's about it in a nutshell as it relates to here so I just want to say I look forward to all the future work. Thanks

Hi everyone,

My name is Dan, I'm 29 and live near Chicago, IL.  I've been playing games since I was 3 and semi-collecting all of my life(I loved keeping my boxes and manuals for all my games all my life.  Sadly my parents got rid of some of it.)

I work as a Store Manager for GameStop which I know some of you may consider the devil, but hey, it pays the bills and I at least work with gaming in some fashion.

I tend to only collect things that interest me but the problem is a lot of stuff interests me.  It ranges from NES/Master System to Xbox One/PS4 and everything inbetween.  I also have a random collection of Super Famicom and JP N64 buried in there too.  My prize possession is my CIB Earthbound which is actually the copy I got for Christmas in 1995(The scratch and sniff cards are still intact in my guide!)

I have FINALLY begun organizing the basement in my house and getting all of my stuff up out of boxes and onto shelves so you guys can expect to see some pictures soon.  It's nothing as impressive as some of the stuff I've seen on here but I hope you guys will like it!

Hi guys

I'm Gareth, I'm 31 and from Newport in South Wales. I'm married and have a 1 year old son who I'm sure I'll pass on my video gaming addiction. I chose the name Gamer_Cymru as it's Welsh for Welsh Gamer. I'm a delivery driver by day and I'm also a researcher for the Football Manager game's created by Sport's Interactive.

My introduction to video games was via a BBC Micro computer and later on from my NES. I also had the use of my younger brother's Sega Master System. Somehow I skipped the next few years and returned to gaming with a PS1. After which I had a PS2, PS3 and a Wii. In total I now own a NES, N64, Wii, Nintendo DS, Master system, Mega Drive, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360 and a Commodore 64 (which doesn't work at the moment, Think it needs a new power supply)

I currently have a man-cave in the attic which is slowly filling up with my collection of video games. Since the birth of my son my collection habits have changed to a bargain hunter style which I find more enjoyable as I'm finding some really great games out there at a fraction of what I used to pay when the latest big game came out. At the moment my collection seems to be mostly Playstation 1,2 and 3 games with a small but growing selection of the other consoles. I look to get games that I'm going to enjoy playing, I dont buy games just to say I have them.

I found this site my I was looking at doing a custom cover for FIFA 13. Being a big Football fan ( I refuse to call it Soccer) and sick of seeing the same players on the cover I decided to make a cover with the team I support on it (Newport County). While the custom cover's of FIFA 13 and 14 I made weren't of the standard you guys have been doing it's got me the bug of creating custom covers for all of my games which I shall be starting in the near future.

Anyway its great to join you guys.

Hey Guys. I'm Ben, from Herts in sunny old UK!! Had tonnes of games back in the day but sold the lot and started collecting again in summer 2013.

Only just discovered this site after I read something about it in an issue of Retro Gamer.

My first computer was a C64 which I had over 100 games for (which mysteriously went missing from my parents loft) then I moved onto an Amiga 600 before the consoles. The ones I bought brand new were a Gameboy, Game Gear, Master System 2, Mega Drive 2, 32x, PS1 (which I paid £440 for mail order so I could get it before official release in UK), Dreamcast, Xbox. Ones I bought second hand were a SNES, PS2, 360, and a Neo Geo Pocket Color and an Atari Lynx 2. Every single one of these was sold, cheaply I might add, which disappoints me now I collect again. The worst one was about 10 or so years ago I took my Mega Drive to CEX (the UK's main secondhand shop) and they gave me £25 for it with over 50 games. Thought it was worthless then. Even worse, I handed them the 32x and they said "we dont take these as no one wants them" so I said "it's no use to me" and they gave me £3 for it. Why did I sell it grrr?????!!!!! I have a Saturn now with Virtua Fighter, Virtua Racing and Doom and I have to say that I feel the 32x versions of these games, whilst not looking as good, are definitely better games to play!

My favourite console that I have at the moment is probably my PC Engine CoreGrafx. Bravoman arrived in the post yesterday and although it is a basic game it is surprisingly highly enjoyable the more you play it.

Anyway, started collecting again last year and only have a small collection at the mo but wanting to build a proper one. Bought a bundle of 25 UGC's and have been spending the last couple of days making covers. Done the N64 ones mainly but was a little disappointed with the lack of vertical PAL covers as I think they look awesome.

Anyway, I look forward to talking to some of you guys on here as my missus and her friends dont really understand the 'obsession', as they put it, with gaming and collecting!! :)

Realized that I never posted in here, so why not.

Name: Dustin
Age: 35
Location: Milford, Ohio (East of Cincinnati)

As far as games go, I'm pretty much a fan of anything that's not a turn-based, Final Fantasy-style RPG. Driving, puzzle, and action titles make up most of what I play on a normal basis.

Top consoles for me are 2600, NES, SNES, PS2 and 360. There's not a console I dislike, honestly.

Used to collect pretty hardcore, but I've cut back a lot and make efforts to not fill my shelves with stuff that doesn't have sentimental attachment or is something I like and will actually play. Still sitting on over 1100 games, though, so it's a lot but it's well-curated.

I did Graphic Design in college, dropped out after 2 years (this was the late 90's so computers were anemic). I've since used PhotoShop for personal projects and a few commissioned works for ads and shirts. I have a very discerning eye for quality and will take the time necessary to get things just right.

I first came here just like many others, looking for art to cover loose games. I then decided to take that art and create my own replica boxes so things look as close to retail as possible. I'm hoping to help get the NES section as complete as possible.

Hi guys, been a long time "retro" game collector and only recently found this site. I hope to visit as often as I can, read up, learn new things and hopefully contribute in some way.

Name: Nathan
Age: 32
Location: Santa Clara, CA (Bay Area born and raised).

Video game history would all start with the old NES that I got at an early age as a Christmas present. Super Mario, Punch-Out (Mike Tyson!) and Kung Fu were my favorites or at least the most played. Then getting a SNES and playing Super Mario Bros was mind blowing until the whole Street Fighter arcade craze took over. And then Mortal Kombat. Then the 16-bit wars, the 32-bit wars (missed the boat on that one, parents were on a budget), and finally the 64-bit consoles. Waited for years for the N64 and my late uncle actually worked at SGI at the time and met some people involved with that which made my excitement level skyrocket. Everything since then is a blur of PS2 and PS3.

Thankfully I have a very understanding girlfriend who doesn't mind my video game obsession providing I don't mind her shoe/clothing/purse obsession. It's just a battle for storage at our place, that's all!
