Spoonman:
I'm fairly new.  Joined as a member a few weeks ago and jumped on some threads already.  Love the site.  And I'm loving my new hobby of casing all my old games, and buying some I never had before and casing those!

I'm 23, my biggest collection is SNES games because that was my favorite system growing up.  That and all game boy systems.  I have an older brother who is a big gamer so he "owned" all the video game systems and 90% of games.  So part of my hobby is re-building the collection we had when we were growing up.

Hey all! I'm an aspiring game collector from Finland. So far I've been collecting games that I played as a kid or I know were good but never got around to play them. My collection is a happy mishmash of TCP covered games, looses carts and complete boxes and maybe one day I'll take a picture of my not-so-vast game shelf (at least for now).

A big thanks to everyone who has contributed on this site. These covers are great and definately breath a new life into my collector nostalgia.

Hey there, I just feel lucky to have found such a great resource and great community. I found out about TCP thru NESComplex on YouTube after stumbling across custom covers on eBay and doing some research. I'd like to thank all the contributors, and I'd like to help in any way I can.

I'm 30 years old, active military member that moves around every few years. I love gaming and I've taken to collecting all sorts of retro games for the last eight years.

My console and game collection spans: 2600, NES, SNES, Sega Genisis, Sega Saturn, N64, PS1, Dreamcast, GameCube, PS2, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii, PS3, Game Boy, GBC, GBA, NDS, PSP, (and continues to grow).

I guess I should introduce myself as well. I'm Sean (the Irish spelling for Shaun/Shawn). I'm 23 year old programming student, ex-wannabe-art teacher. I live in Europe, more specifically Ireland.

I've been playing games since I can remember, the first being Sonic 2 on the Master System, first game I completed being Castle of Illusion on the Mega Drive, first game I mastered being Might Morphin Power Rangers The Movie on the Mega Drive.

I went from casual gamer to a full on nerd when I first played Ocarina of Time + Abes Odyssey (my favorite game of all time). I have been keeping games since then, keeping the ones I like, and selling the ones I don't. I've been collecting PS1, N64, and everything after since they first came out. I used to collect for the Mega Drive also, but during a move I had all my Mega Drive games stolen. :'(  :'(  :'(

I recently started to collect for 8 bit and 16 bit games. I have only been collecting NES, SNES, and Mega Drive for the past 8 - 9 months, with the vast majority of my stolen Mega Drive games back in my collection. ;D  ;D  ;D

For Nintendo I collect for NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, WiiU, GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS. For Sony I collect for PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP. For Sega I only collect for Mega Drive games, though I will, no doubt, start collecting games for the Master System and Dreamcast eventually. I also collect for Xbox, Xbox 360. I do collect the odd game for PC, but for me personally, the console gaming experience will always overshadow PC gaming.

Hello everyone.

It's funny how you can spend so much time on the internet and still manage to find a little corner of it that you've never seen before and think, "How did I not know about this?!"  Well that was me a few weeks ago with this site.

I'm a 38 year old software engineer who was born, raised, and still lives in the metro Detroit area.  I've been collecting and playing video games for a long time now and finally got a room, albeit the smallest room in the house, dedicated to it several years ago.  My console and game collection consists of about 300 titles (I'm guessing here and it's always growing) that span across NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Genesis, Dreamcast, PS1, PS2, PS3, 360, GBA, DS, and PSP.  I think that's it but I might be forgetting something.  I'm pretty much always buying anything that looks interesting and reasonably priced for any system, though sometimes impulse beats out being frugal.  I generally prefer the classic games as now I am at that age where complaining about new stuff is fun!  Outside of console gaming, I spend a decent amount of time still playing Ultima Online (free server that reproduces a classic era).

After finding this site I went out and bought 200 UGCs and have been slowly converting all my carts over to them.  I now need to figure out some new shelving ideas but there are worse problems to have.  Love the site and the community seems great.  It took me several days to get comfortable with the forums as the information here is overwhelming at times.  That's a great thing.  Hopefully I can contribute in discussions and the occasional scan if I have something of worth.  Unfortunately my graphic design skills are total shite so I doubt I'll be mocking up any covers.

Anyway... hello.
